Habs had an arrangement with a certain Q team to draft him in the import draft, then another team who had a coach who coached him in this youth tournament drafted him first thinking they could convince him, and then he never came over.

The CHL Import Draft will be @ 11AM this morning. As Martin Lapointe spoiled, the expectation is Vecvanags will be Blainville's pick. Also key to this year's Import Draft, Russian and Belarussian players are eligible again.

We were expecting him to be taken by Blainville. He is actually taken by Acadie-Bathurst.
Martin Lapointe really screwed Blainville-Boisbriand when he announced to the world that he would play there next season... Bathurst takes him 3 spots before the Armada's pick.
