I'm just surprised so many places have Barlow in their top 10.. like you said, he's definitely an NHLer. You plop him on the PK and put him in the top 9 and he's gonna give you 20 goals and 40ish points and be valuable defensively and on board play but there's not a real high end offensive player there.

Lardis is firmly in the late 1st round conversation. He's a sniper, he can skate.. he thinks the game well.

Yeah, Lardis is going 1st round. Can't see how he doesn’t. His 2nd half, playoffs & now u18s show that he wasn't riding some high. Kid is performing in a variety of different situations at a high level.

He also put up a ppg this season on a really young team. I think he still projects as two-way 2nd line scoring center.
He's definitely getting underrated. He impressed every time I've seen him. I think with proper development and better surrounded he could produce much more. Could be a steal past 15

Well, Slovakia put up a much more competitive game than Canada did against Sweden that's for sure.

Edstrom, Wahlberg & ASP leading the way again for Swedes.

He's a very quiet point producer in both the Hlinka and the U18s wow.

Went back to look at the Hlinka roster. He was on the wing there as well.

Maybe playing C hurts his transition offense as he can't get up the ice as quick? He kind of reminds me of a slower Dach with a better shot.

Expected more from Dvorsky 2 games through.

Willander is honestly impressing me more than ASP.
Keep in mind that Dvorsky played with Pobezal on the wing. Pobezal is 2006 year and undersized and from the 2 games he played i can say that he just isn't ready yet. He was invisible that's why the coach swapped him in the third period for Masnica. (Masnica scored from Dvorsky assist). Pobezal also just came back from a 3-months long injury.

Dvorsky is really missing a good winger. He was supposed to play with Molnar but that player cant play for the national team because of a fight he got into with some guy on a floorball match.

In U20 or the Hlinka Cup where he scored lots of goals as a 15-16 years old he had much better teammates than now. Sykora, Petrovsky, Slafkovsky, Mesar, Molnar, Repcik, Honzek, Ciernik.

Meanwhile players like Barlow are surrounded with players that will go 1st and 2nd. On a Team Slovakia they will be lucky if they can squeeze one player in the 7th round from the current roster.

Some could argue that a first round pick should dominate even on a crap team.

Barlow has impressed me even less, but I'm not looking for Dvorsky to dominate, just looking for improvements in his game that I feel he's needed to show. So far nothing to tell me to change my evaluation.

Just wait til Habs management meets with him and sees what a "great kid" he is....

Is he going to then be rated the consensus number 1 prospect on Bob's rankings, the rankings that have accurately predicted the 1st overall pick since the beginning of time, and a boat load of evidence comes out on and after the draft that he was going to be the first pick of any other team holding the first overall pick? And then Bedard, who everyone thought was going to go first, is going to have a piss poor draft plus one season where he shows even more anti clutch behavior in a league he's played in for 3 years?

These jokes aren't funny cause they're just baseless and wrong.

Fair enough. I personally liked his game but let me clarify that i don't want the Habs to pick him with their first pick.

After the two games i am really disappointed in Maxim Strbak.
