Yeah he had a good rush and with better luck wouldve had a scoring chance. Instead it ended up being a turnover. Shit happens. He's one of the few players in this team that has some sort of X-factor in him.
Not that we lost because of that, but its just weird to not play your most highly touted player anymore than that against Switzerland of all teams. This is not semifinal against CAN, its the first game of the preliminary round. Its kinda hilarious, really. You need your top players going.

Went into a pileup rather than maintaining a good position in front.
Agreed, he wasn't directly responsible but didn't make the best positional decision.

Yeah thats fair. I just think one on one rush those turnovers happen. Its a fast game. I'd rather players try something and fail than play it safe. Not regarding this play or tournament but in general.

It was a puck battle in the corner. He needs to go in with their second guy which he did. Wouldn’t want him to do anything else. The third Finland guy needs to keep an eye on the other Swiss guy at the point.
Teams pretty much always play man on man defensively in 3 on 3 or close to it. As the dman you don’t stand out front when there’s no one in that vicinity.

His biggest downside is honestly his attitude from what I've heard. His dad has been way too hands on withhis decisions and he's been changing teams too fast in Finland cause he hasnt been handed everything on a silver platter.
He was never suited for Liiga play. He's too much of a skill player and the two times he has looked best have been the cancelled U20 tournament on American ice (very small sample size) and now with Jets/Moose. His strengths are more suited for American ice and game rather than puck control and safe style of play that Finnish pro leagues offer.
In terms of this game, he had few good shifts were he really showcased his great skating ability and especially his glide. Sometimes he takes the puck and goes coast to coast and reminds me of Barzal quite a lot. Didnt really pop out anymore than someone else. I think he's bit of a boom or bust type of player. If he puts it together he has top-5 skillset of that draft but he could very well not even become a star player in Euro level. Very understandable for his draft spot.
