I know Schneider has looked excellent and the defensive numbers for Biggio look pretty bad, but I have no problem giving more playing time to Biggio when he's been playing at a ~3 WAR pace over the last 3+ months (and played at that same pace last year). They're an elite defensive team that need a bit of help on offense, and Biggio has been providing it for a while now.
Biggio since May 6th: 140 wRC+ vs RHP in 134 PA
Biggio since August 4th: 164 wRC+ vs RHP in 28 PA
Schneider so far in his career: 192 wRC+ vs RHP in 17 PA

I know the sample size is very small on Schneider, but he does have a history throughout his minor league career of hitting way better vs RHP than LHP. I agree that in general Biggio has been a reliable player vs RHP for a while now, but Schneider could end up being a more valuable player than Biggio. We won't find that out unless he gets more rope though, and he won't get more rope if Biggio is in his way taking PA at 2B away from him.

If the other Schneider actually used Biggio properly there would be no problem with both of them being on the roster, because even if Schneider is a more valuable 2B, Biggio is still a nice bench bat to have for pinch hit situations vs RHP, if he was actually used that way.

Who gives a shit about 7th in the MLB. We're 1 game up on Seattle for the 3rd wild card (lol), Seattle sold their closer at the deadline and has had brutal injuries all year. A healthy Seattle is probably 5 games up by now. Meanwhile, we've basically been completely healthy outside a couple short stints.

Brutally dissapointing season, this core was supposed to be so much more. Luckily for them, just getting into the playoffs gives them some small chance of pulling some magic out of their asses and winning a few series on heater.

Better watch out, though. Yankees and Sox wont stay down long, and Baltimore, Houston and Texas are all here to stay.
Lolwut?

At different points in this season we have lost our #1 SP, Closer and starting SS, 3B, and CF.

Manoah also got space-jammed which is practically an injury to our 1B SP.

What Monoah is dealing with is not an injury, nice try.

Keep making excuses, though.

And? You're making excuses for Seattle by saying they've been dealing with BRUTAL injuries all year. What brutal injuries? Outside of Ray I feel like they've been relatively healthy as well.

Meanwhile we've had a poor form Manoah for 19 starts, 4 of which he's pitched 6 or more innings in.

No offense, but Ray's 1.8fWAR last year would make him their 4th starter behind Kirby, Gilbert, and Castillo. Bryce Miller has emerged this year and is arguably better as well.

Yes and I initially mentioned that before removing it but he’d still be a great backend of the rotation option for them even if he’s expensive. He might be HR prone but his xERA was still around 3.5 (Manoah was 3.3).

Of course it's a disappointment, but go take a look at how many wins Manoah, Kirk, Springer, and Vlad were worth last season versus this season. That's your difference right there.

Remember going into the season the offense was a lot worse on paper in the first place. The outfield D replaced 2 black holes with gold gloves and were able to move springer to the least important D position on the field.

What does space jammed mean? And Manoah is not injured he’s just fat. He needs to lose weight so he can finish his pitches off better. All his pitches are up in the zone and he got crushed. Nothing to do with being hurt. Kirk and him need to go on a team diet plan in the winter

Why do I have a bad feeling this injury to Springer is going to linger for the rest of the season? A game off turns into a week turns into a few weeks and all of a sudden you hear he might need surgery. It happens

Wow Vladdy, what happened to your "eye". takes strike 3 perfectly down the middle of the plate.

In case if anyone is wondering, already 0-6 RISP… this team won’t make the playoffs. The pitching is there but when you have Vladdy missing pitches down the middle and fat Kirk being a ground ball machine you ain’t going to do shit.

My God has Vladdy regressed from 3 years ago. I give this guy 1 more year and if it’s anything like this he’s gone. He’s gotta start doing something for this team

I wince every time Springer moves a muscle because I assume he’s going on the IL

Gotta give him some credit he's lasted this long without an IL stint, compared to prior years.

I can’t remember the last time the Jays were this bad offensively.

Even in those lean years they had guys like Batista (the other one), Wells and Glaus who could at least hit for power.

God awful at bats. Even if they made the playoffs they’d get shut down by whoever they face. They can’t even make solid contact on this scrub ass
