Ok Dan Shulman, that was not "Deep Right Field" at Fenway. LOL.
But we'll take it from Varsho.
Yeah i misjudged it, I thought it was closer to the pesky pole side.It was a no doubter for sure. 413ft
Both times the Blue Jays have driven some in, the player was at 1st. New strategy is for the players to stay at 1st so someone will drive them in.
I believe they are 0/6Exactly did they get a hit with RISP tonight. Don't think so.
I liked this post and agree to a large extent, but the Jays have to be very mindful of having no options other than rookies. The sad reality is that contenders really cannot have rookies as their primary options at a position as important as the hot corner.Chapman won't be a Jay next season for several reasons.
You don't want to commit big money to 30 year old free agents, especially guys with a history of injuries. They decline fast - witness Springer. Chapman's defense is already in decline - he doesn't look like the platinum glove he was a few years ago.
On top of that, the free agent market for 3B is thin so he'll get bidders and a pretty big contract.
And finally, our two best positional prospects are both 3B with an ETA of 2024 so that's one position where we have internal options for once.
