Varsho was always a risk. He paid premium price for a player who hadn’t shown any offensive consistency so far in his career. He expected some players to maintain or be better than last years numbers. Unfortunately, Kirk, Espinal, Biggio, Jansen, Vladdy, and Varsho have had below-expected numbers,
Probably cause Jano is out of the game as a pinch hitter. Moot point now that Likes doubled.wow, why was Kirk placed as the ghost runner? brutal call.
He was the last out and nobody else left on bench other than Beltwow, why was Kirk placed as the ghost runner? brutal call.
I hate that we weren’t able to maximize on his value last off season. Moreno isn’t lighting the world on fire but I’d be much happier if he’s the one we still had. I think it’ll be a steady decline with Kirk unfortunatelyGod im so sick of Kirk
The offence isn’t pathetic. It’s been below expectations sure. Not really sure if he was completely wrong. They have a better record compared to last season. So far the Varsho gamble isn’t paying off offensively.Well he took the gamble and it was wrong. This teams offence is pathetic. No consistency game to game.
Having two players taking the next step or having close to career years is a realistic expectation.Varsho was always a risk. He paid premium price for a player who hadn’t shown any offensive consistency so far in his career.
Vladdy isn’t too far off his career norms tbh.
Espinal, Biggio and Jansen shouldn’t have been expected to be huge parts of the offense. Anything from them would’ve been a bonus.
Kirk is the major disappointment, but again not totally surprising given how he tailed off last season.
