He's been among the best since coming into the league. Statcast also has blocking stats for catchers and he's also been one of the best in the league since coming up. The only drawback defensively is that his arm is just average, but at least it's not bad.

For all the talk about how long he'll stay behind the plate, he's an elite defender right now and has a long way to fall before he can't do in it anymore.
