It's kind of funny that they're making a big deal about Ohtani's CG shutout and 2 HRs in the two games of a double-header because "nobody's ever done that before."

But there was a graphic on Sportsnet on Thursday night that said like 4 other pitchers have pitched a CG shutout and hit 2 HR IN THE SAME GAME, which is far more impressive.

I loved how they spent all that time on pre-game talking about how they may not want to put him on the IL and figure out a way around this only for him to go on the IL not 10 minutes later.

Probably some gamesmanship. Want them to prepare for Romano, not Pearson. Don’t need to show your hand until you do.

10am games would be awesome for me. Watch baseball with a coffee first thing in the morning. Done by 1-2pm, can enjoy the day and do something at night.

That's where I've been on board with suggestions other have made here in Tim Anderson or Tommy Edman. They're not great players at this point and both are having somewhat disappointing seasons, but they can both fill a specific role REALLY well that the Jays have mostly been filling with just "good enough" players.
