However, the Jays I think had a ton of games vs NYY in Aug/Sept that year like 15 or something. I remember they swept NY in NY in 4 games and gave up like 1 run in the series.

Yeah, 13 games left against the Yankees that year. The craziest part, though, is that they caught the Yankees by August 23, having played only 6 of those 13 games.

That was such a ridiculous run.

I'd say Royals were better. They knew how to shut down the Jays offence. And Price was a playoff choker.

I don't agree. It is a short series and they got the bounces and all the luck. Way it goes sometimes unfortunetly but I firmly think the Jays were the better team.

Yeah, in the 56 games between the deadline and resting everyone when they clinched the division, they went 42-14 with a +142 differential.

In sports, and in baseball in particular, the best team doesn't always win in a short series.

In game 6 here was the homerun that the KC fan stole.

Then Jeff Nelson absolutely f***ed over the jays. Top 9 they had R2 R3 no outs and it was like I want this to be over now, no extras, no game 7 (with Stroman starting)

I normally favour the umpires since I've been one for 20 years but that game 6 was brutal.
