Good thing is all the wild card contenders are all garbage. It’s probably up to which team gets hot at the end

You'd think decent teams never lose to bad teams. Who'd have predicted the 25 win Royals would beat the Rays.

Or the 20 win As stringing together 7 in a row against Pirates/Brewers/Rays, and also winning a series against the Braves.

But the Jays got 2 hits in the last what, 6 innings? That shouldn’t happen against this ball club. They fell for the trap game and didn’t take them seriously.

This would be well and good if we had the rays record. But we're almost at the half way mark and there are alot of question marks on whether this team is much better then a 500 club that could finish last in the division . Eventually you need to see some consistency no matter who they play and it is becoming more urgent.

Ya it's nuts. Hard splitter, nasty slurve, and a high velo FB.

Yeah, elite closer stiff.

102 FB, 95 splitter, and the slurve. That’s unhittable if he can harness it.

Probably unlucky here as the Chapman and Springer hits were squibbed the opposite way as they were late on the fastball.

That's not even about winning or losing games imo. That's about how you win or lose those games and yesterday is not the kind of games contending teams lose on a regular basis. The other team played better no problem it happens move along. But yesterday the Jays basically beat themselves and it happens way too often this year. Something will have to change. If it doesn't come from the players (i don't think it will at this point hope i'm wrong) then it will have to come from somewhere else.

Berrios just about ran outta gas there in the 6th... but the lead is still intact 5-3.

worst team in the league and all, but if it gets him going i'll take it.
