Dach is done if he's missing time again. At some point, if that's not already the case, it is becoming psychological. Then you have to battle physical and mental issues.

Probably Monahan had to battle through it at some point. The difference is Monahan was proven when it happened. Dach we don't even know if he can be good.

Yup. I don't know what is going on but hearing that he is still under evaluation never sounds good to me.
Dach was invisible against Ottawa to the point that I asked if he'd returned from vacation yet in the GDT.
It's hard not to get discouraged as a fan but his stock has plummeted IMO. I don't think he will ever be able to play the type of game we hoped for and stay healthy.

His wife is due fairly soon

His injury might be nothing or only minor. But every minor bump can be tough to battle is some cases.

I think we can say his season is a big big deception unless he turns it around on a dime. The thing is if the Habs go on and get a 2C during the summer, he will find himself on the 3rd line with way less opportunities. Unfortunately, his big season was this year and he is blowing it out.

Shocker. I seriously doubt this guy will be the 2C in the near future.
Sucks for him. Imagine being 6’4 and talented and just not giving a shit most nights.

The problem is he has zero attributes of a 3C and he’s not consistent enough to be a 2C. I guess he’ll be one of those journeyman players that every team that acquires him will keep pointing to the supposed talent and 3rd overall draft profile only to end up being disappointed.

This guy's body language is gross. You see him laughing after taking some of his dumb costly penalties. His defensive skills are extremely poor for a center.

Seems more likely that he will have to become a bottom 6 winger that forechecks like crazy and is physical if he wants a lengthy NHL career. The effort level is night and day compared to when he played center with plugs like Hoffman and Dadonov.

Hopefully, that's the end of the middle 6 projects for Kent. Not skilled or smart enough to be a consistent top 6 player, not good enough defensively or on faceoffs to be a consistent bottom 6 player. I'm rooting for him and Newhook to make me look silly, but it would take some drastic changes for that to happen.

Having Dach out highlights how desperately thin our centre lineup is. Evans at 2C is not good. Beck should be nowhere near 2C at this stage of his career. If they put Dvorak there......jeesh!
