So we have one guy that can hit homers. lol.

He just tied Vladdy, with 20 fewer games played. Vladdy should feel shame.

Chapman is looking like a pumpkin since the hot start. I think you offer the qualifying offer and move on.
I don't think you even have to, didnt they get rid of the draft pick compensation for the qualifying offer?

But yeah, he's been lost at the plate since beginning of May. and his defense hasn't been super stellar, he's had just as many errors already as all of last year (5).

They need to sit Kirk and Vlad down and get them on board this winter with physical renovations. They can't lift the ball because they are putting themselves at a physical disadvantage before they even get in the box. These guys are such naturally talented hitters but that can only go so far when you're up against peak physically pitchers throwing gas. Kirk should be hitting 20+ and Vlad 40+ when you look at their natural hitting talent. What's limiting their power potential is themselves at the moment.

The 15 second pitch clock makes it even more important to be in shape for both the pitcher and hitter. You don't have time to take a breather. You have to be prepared to have max effort swings and pitches with little time to catch your breath. If you don't have agility as a hitter you're more susceptible to topping the ball and not generating lift. If you don't have agility as a pitcher you will struggle to repeat your delivery every 15 seconds.

Well it was a close one, but god damn it, in two straight games nobody can drive in runs other than Jano?

This offense is running on fumes.

What puzzles me is Schnieder gets more criticism than the hitting coach(es). Schnieder really hasn't been an issue. For the most part, a fair number of Jays hitters are lacking power compared to their average. I still maintain hitters aren't pulling the ball enough.
