Offence just hasn't clicked yet. Varsho/Vlad have been great on the road, poor at home. Springer/Kirk have been great at home, poor on the road. Even Bo has a significant difference in his splits (but he's good wherever he hits). Overall their offence, specifically their power production, drops when at home. The new dimensions have clearly had a significant affect so far. Like how Camden completely zaps righty power except the Jays did this to all fields.

Maybe the dark ages are upon us and these renovations have made Toronto a hitter's cemetery.
Would be hilarious all the bitching fans of other teams did about the renovations making it a little league park end up turning into the coliseum or some shit.

Hah, the Jays might have a chance in this series.

NO MOUNTCASTLE!

They just said he was placed on the IL.

Man, sometimes there isn’t anything wrong with a pitch and a good (or lucky) bit of hitting knocks it out of the park.

That had huge break and was several inches below the strike zone.

I can handle it when great players regularly crush the Jays. Those guys are great for a reason. But it drives me nuts when guys like Mountcastle dominate them year after year and when you check the numbers it turns out they actually kinda suck against everyone else.

Do we just start bunting when guys are in scoring position lol. Man this team just can’t get it going

Hitting with RISP is still a major problem for this offence. Yeah, the stats have looked better individually but still lacking clutch hits.

I know, but we were a world series contender going in the season now we are getting rinsed by them. This team lost its swagger. No way they should get dummied like this
The Orioles started this last year vs the Jays. It just continues now.

Jays have feasted on them for many years prior. The tide has turned.

Still plenty of left in this series (and season) but you can't keep getting smacked by divisional rivals like this and expect to go anywhere.

I mean you could flip that and say the last WS winners got rinsed by us. Even a 200m+ payroll Mets got rinsed by us. Even Atlanta got rinsed by us.

That shows we are a really good team, but the way things have gone against Baltimore doesn't sit right with me. Baltimore deserves a beat down

Glad I stopped watching early

Why are we using Francis tonight in a blow out.. Is it to keep Mitch White and Cimber fresh for the close games?

Seems kinda Montoyoish, no?
Cimber is on paternity leave

Our season is lost in how we played within our division. We really just aren’t a great team

The hitting has been the problem, especially May & June.

Starting pitching has carried the team (minus Manoah), bullpen has been acceptable too despite once in a while blowing it.

It's mid June and Vladdy has 9 homers (8 off actual pitchers) and has not hit one at home. He's hitting singles and once in a while a double. He went a month without hitting one (off an actual pitcher).

If this is who he is from now on, this team is in deep trouble. If anything this could save the team from a massive contract liability.

Biggio and Jansen have 6 homers apiece for reference.
