I agree with you but it was pretty clear to everyone except our Manager that Gausmen was and is the staff ace

Ehhhh ... Manoah through 196 innings in his 31 starts last year with a 2.24 ERA and Gausman threw 174 innings in his 31 starts with a 3.35 ERA.

Gausman had some crazy peripherals and tough luck but I don't think it was unrealistic to see Manoah as the team's top starter heading into the season - he was the team's biggest innings eater and had the best results over the prior two years.

Gausman was incredibly unlucky while the opposite was true for Manoah. I didn’t realize Manoahs ERA was that low but it certainly didn’t match the eye test. I was certainly more
Comfortable having KG pitching in the playoffs.

Manoahs velo drop is strange and is a major problem. I truly think this should be his last start if it doesn’t go well. Take the pressure off him and send him down to figure out how to resolve his issues

Trouble with sending him down is. And I'm serious, is there anyone better in AAA?

I don’t know. Hopefully Francis. The thing is as long as a replacement has a sub 6 ERA we aren’t losing anything and the advantage is we may be able to fix Manoah and get him back in a few months. Dude is buckling under the pressure right now

Houston just teeing off on 92 mph fastballs with no out breaking pitch. Plus nothing but 2-0, 3-1 counts.

Abreu isn't a 'mystery'. He's 36 and his numbers and power have been declining for several years. The list of age 35+ hitters still performing at a high level is basically Paul Goldschmidt.

I know we have limited depth in the minors but there is literally no scenario where they are worse then Manoah is right now. Guy is drowning right now time to pull him out.

He's getting worse by the outing. He may not even get out of the inning.

Another auto loss tonight. This organization is looking like a laughing stalk.

let’s just keep throwing him out there and lose everything 5Th game, tax the bullpen. Sounds brilliant.
Like I said. Imagine trying to refute me. Wake up

Yep, gets the hook with just 1 out recorded. At this point you might as well have a traffic pylon pitching from triple-A.
