Interesting... usually one does happen at least once a season, for this team anyway since they've always been homer happy.Nope, not a walk off homer.
It was 25The Jays scoreless streak leaders seemed to be missing Brett Cecil. Can’t remember how many innings it was but it had to have been 30+.

He doesn’t add anything. He ‘can’ play a lot of positions but most of them he isn’t good at. He lost his power and most pitchers now pump pitches into the strike zone because he’s not hitting so he doesn’t walk.
I saw one tweet stating 25 and now just saw one stating 32.2 innings. It was 25
He needs to be sent down. Clement or Horwitz should be called up. Clement is an easy one, just DFA Thornton. He’s lost everything that made him good in 2019-2020.
The walks are gone. The SBs are gone. The power is gone. EV has tanked.
He needs to go to AAA and rebuild his game because right now he has nothing to contribute.
58 plate appearances now without a walk is crazy considering how his career started. Like you say, teams just pump strikes into the zone and have nothing to fear.
Even last year he was a really solid depth player... league average bat, good enough defense at 2B/OF, good baserunning... he's just completely lost it this year. He’s lost everything that made him good in 2019-2020.
