As a Jays fan since their inception I'd really like to see one thing change in Toronto ASAP

BlueJays management needs to hire a competent Manager instead of all the dimwits they've been employing forever.

Schneider is just another dimwit like Montoya and Gibbons, and I really don't think they'll ever win another World Series until they hire a bona fide, proven, intelligent and capable manager

..but it looks like they're stuck with this dumb ass for another 3 years

He came up with alot of the players, they figured he would mesh well since he coached them in various levels of the minors. Also probably why they hired Mattingly... time for him to show his experience and help get this team on a run and figure out some of the short comings.
 
I take nothing from this other than Aaron Boone is,,, I'm just amazed he played pro baseball and that he can lead men into any kind of battle.. I see him as having a hard time directing an ice cream truck.. He intimidates no one...

After last year's 8-1 wildcard meltdown which Schneider was most responsible for with his terrible decisions, I no longer have faith in his ability to properly manage this talented Blue Jays team

Not only do I have zero faith in Schneider's ability to manage this team for a long playoff run, I wouldn't be surprised if they missed the playoffs this year

Why they signed him to a 3 year contract instead of a one or two year deal makes no sense to me after his brutal wildcard managing, but they've been hiring dud managers for a long time now...and the tradition continues

It was a damn shame when they had Gibbons as manager with a such talented ball club, and it's a damn shame they have such a mediocre manager now with even better talent

..and also very frustrating as a long time fan of this team
 
Schneider lost me last year with the boneheaded galaxy brain thinking taking out Gausman in that playoff game when he's dealing like he was. But, this team is just horrific on offence. Springer making 25 mill hitting squat, Espinal Biggio Kirk Belt hitting even worse, Vladdy not hitting like a superstar, Janssen with typical early season crap, etc. We have to hope these guys have more to give or we're not making the playoffs.

clearly that was enough to have them lose. Least I won 20 bucks when I bet the guy beside me Judge would hit a homer on his first at bat. (and the guy paid me).
 
What the hell is wrong with Springer? Only 6 extra base hits all season. Do you consider moving him down the order if he doesn't start hitting soon?

But, how much is offence hitting squat is on the manager? I am not a manager apologist, I am just asking. What can be done to make those guys hit?

That was my point, we can point fingers at Schneider for alot of things, but the offence being underwhelming is not one of them.

Jays just don't hit homeruns. They get out homered every game and this offense isn't capable of big innings. If the starter doesn't pitch well we are toast. Badly need to add an impact bat since there are too many guys stinking it up.
