No, but other fanbases have long since accepted the fate of having their hopes and dreams ground into a fine paste. Canucks fans seemed like they were still in the early stages of irrationally believing that hope isn't just an illusion designed to maximize suffering.

Was reallly shocked that Kirk didn’t pinch hit for Jano at the end. It obviously worked out but I wonder why that decision was made.

Chapman - 162
Guerrero - 155
Bichette - 145
Kiermaier - 140
Belt - 107
Merrifield - 101
Kirk - 99
Varsho - 97
Springer - 74

Belt with 225 wRC+ in his last 14 days and 140 in his last 30 days. Finally coming around but his K% in those periods are still 40%+.

He’s been ice cold recently. 0 for his last 11 with a -100 wRC+. I’m wondering if he is hurt.

Had to think it was some recent issue

Jano obviously had a nice big hit late in yesterdays game but I can’t see that recency bias coming into play
 
Well, Kirky is starting tonight. Hopefully he brings it. He needs to get hot, when he is hot he is very fun to watch as a hitter. Plus, we need his speed on the base paths :sarcasm:
 
Hanging sinker. Had a bad feeling that was coming given how they wouldn't shut up about Manoah's general dominance of Judge lol.

If he gets shelled by the Yankees given how well he's pitched them and how ass that lineup is tonight it might be time to panic.

Judge HR rattle him? he went to a changeup for some reason and then just fed the fastball to him.
 
Yeah he needs a reset in the minors.

And its always early in games where he gets owned.
 
Time to Roy Halladay him. Send him back to single A to work himself back up.
 
In an ideal world, Manoah treads water long enough for Ryu to come back so they have another arm for the rotation if you need to send him down. But that's asking a lot given the latter is just starting to rehab.

Tiedemann isn't an option at this time either. Tough spot.

Maybe i'm reading into it too much but he looked legit gassed just coming off the mound.

Edit: Forgot about Mitch White. I guess that could work.
