Belt was never a spring chicken in his earlier years lol.Belt doesn’t run well. He looks like a guy thats been beaten up over the years. Wear and tear.
Can't tell if Pirates trash or Belt has woken up.
Perhaps a bit of both?
Chronic knee pain will do that to ya.Belt doesn’t run well. He looks like a guy thats been beaten up over the years. Wear and tear.

Yah that’s exactly what it looks like. He doesn’t run normal.Chronic knee pain will do that to ya.
Makes sense. Thank you for clearing that up for me.Pirates are trash.
Belt is trash
Two negatives make a positive, therefore Belt becomes good against trash teams.
He spent the offseason recovering from knee surgery, too, which is part of the reason some people have been a bit more patient despite his awful start.Yah that’s exactly what it looks like. He doesn’t run normal.
Personally, I would have been ok with Morales if he made less money and was only signed for one year and could play an adequate 1B and was only expected to be the 7th or 8th best hitter in the lineup and could be platooned to play to his strengths more.Belt certainly looks much improved over the guy who looked finished in the first couple weeks of the season.
Can’t help thinking that the best-case here is still only 2017-18 Kendrys Morales, though.
Complete speculation but didn't he have a stomach bug recently? There's some nasty shit going around rn and he could be still feeling the effects.springer okay? he looks exasperated. or is that just him in general![]()
That's the value of players like him and to a lesser extent, KK.Varsho somehow on pace for a 4.5 bWAR season. I thought he was playing bad but has a .703 OPS. Solid
He was reallllly bad early on but after the KC series you could start to see everything slowly fall into place. First thing was his eye. Stopped swinging at absolute junk and then his bat slowly picked up speed.Sure am glad we didn't DFA Belt two weeks into the season like some arm chair GM's wanted lol
He's had 5 starts with 1 ER or less. I wouldn't have guessed that after last year. Not a great start under the hood for Kikuchi (only 6 swinging strikes, lots of stuff left in the zone) but somehow he leaves the game spotless.
Gotta love that.
