Could be back in playoff position by the end of the day.
It's funny eh. After the Texas series the general feeling was we're out. It was like we were 5 games out. And yet, we're in the mix. Our pitching, especially the starting pitching, will rebound because they've done it all year. That gives us a chance.

But the offence ain't rebounding because too many players have had poor years. Varsho, Chapman, Springer, Vladdy, Espinal, etc just too inconsistent. Don't get me started on J. Schneider. He's going to put his boy Richards in to screw up a big lead. He's been crap since returning from his injury. This is no time for reclamation projects.

Jays should give fans a reason to show up. Who wants to show up and watch 3-4 hits a game and either losing or barely winning.

Tampa doesn’t have fans in the stands and they have no problem winning.
Shhh. You need to learn the hierarchy of responsibility for failure:

Fans ----> Luck/Fate ---> Coaches ---> Players ----> The Front Office

For hierarchy of credit for success simply flip the chart.

When I heard yesterday Sale has struggled in his last 4 starts, my first reaction was well I guess he will look like an ace against the Jays, because it seems like any pitchers who struggled before facing the Jays get their A stuff back again, and looks like the trend is continuing.

Espinal batting 5th because of recent success should tell you all you need to know about how absolute dog shit the hitting is.

This is the worst offensive Blue Jays team in a long damn time.

Even most of the rebuilding years were better than this.

This team loves to suck you back in just so they can lay another egg at home.

This offense just doesn't cut it and would probably be shut out three straight games even if we made the playoffs.

Fat guy can’t run…if he’s not down 50 pounds next season , get rid of him…
If he shows up in this shape again I'd send him to the minors. Have to send a message

The team had been scoring 6 runs/game in the month+ leading into the Texas series and were on a 9-3 run heading into the series.

23000 fans was an embarrassment.

And as I said previously, no, I don’t want to be making excuses for the team’s terrible performance.

Yeah, this is why calculators still have the Jays at ~60% to make the playoffs despite currently sitting outside with 14 games left. Those 3 teams are going to massacre each other and one of them is probably going to end up with a lousy record as a result.

What are the splits now at home ? I bet they are much worse than the road.

I might venture to guess that a huge problem for this team is not having a game plan for hitting. How many times have they played Sale and yet they look they haven’t seen him before. They are completely owned by him, no clue how to to handle his stuff.
