What’s his RISP been like in that time? It feels like he’s hitting fine but has suddenly become a double-play machine with runners on. Moving him down a few games to reward others and give him a chance to sort out these issues isn’t the end of the world. It’s also a good time in the schedule to get him sorted out.

-10 wRC+ 12 game "hitting" streak with RISP

Not including this disaster of a game

He’s been the least of their troubles with RISP this year.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuck.

I am well aware but with the key injuries he needs to be the guy heading the charge and is sputtering. Moving down the lineup isn’t some massive punishment.

I got laughed at (by one single poster :sarcasm: ) when I wondered aloud if we could trust the pitching and D to a man to continue to dominate for an entire season….

GO JAYS GO!

This is what happens when your entire pitching staff has had to throw stressful innings all season because your offense can’t score consistently.

The arms get taxed and by September some of them are worn out.

Lol.

The Jays are 26th in the league in reliever innings pitched. The complete opposite of "over worked". What, you think every other team is seeing 8 inning outings from their starters?

Over 162 games, guys are simply going to have bad games. Sometimes bad weeks. Especially relievers.

We lose this, it’s not on the pitching. It’s on our alleged superstar who can’t put a ball in the air and pounds the ball into the ground for two double plays. He’s a mess at the plate.

It's on the manager

He pulled Ryu at 76 pitches yesterday up 2 runs and wound up using half a dozen arms needlessly

Tonight, it was clear Kikuchi didn't have it, but he had to keep him out there because of yesterday's indulgence
