I think there's a possibility Anaheim takes Michkov 2nd tough. I would not bet against it for sure.
I mean, I'm not sure why they would take another C to be honest. Yeah, Fantilli/Hobey Baker/All that but that's not exactly a position of need for them. It wouldn't surprise me either if he's impressed them.

Who knows? My thing is that I just want the Habs to pick anyone in the consensus top 4 after Bedard. If it's Michkov, pick him. If it's Smith/Carlsson/Fantilli, pick them. That's my deal.

yeah agreed, it's a little all over the place and we're all speculating but really none of us know what the *real* dialogue is on him behind closed door

but like Bedard not #1 is just TSN level of trying to fill the conversation
I think Anaheim takes Fant

Man, truce. Okay? Your comments are inflammatory but let’s just drop it okay? You and wethreekings have been really shitting in the town well with your tone and comments about Michkov — everybody here has noticed it. But let’s just call a truce and celebrate excitement of the draft all together. Until they make their pick, anyway. Hahaha
Yeah honestly I'm over the endless back and forth too. Most of us want Michkov and will be upset if he's available and doesn't get picked. A vocal minority clearly hate his guts for some reason despite appearing to still rate his talent (I suspect so they don't go down on the wrong side of history like they have with some other calls like Tkachuk lol).

We'll see what happens. Only got a few hours left. Fingers crossed whoever we pick somehow ends up the best player in the draft.

Renaud Lavoie said on radio that he would pick Michkov and that the Habs should not, not draft him because of politics. And that if you pick him, you can still trade him in the next 3 years if you dont like what you see.

He also said, from his point of view Montreal had Michkov on their not-drafting list, but they were impressed by the meeting with him, before finalising their list yesterday night. So they might be more willing to draft him now.

All surprising coming from Renaud.

So who are we picking at 7? Leonard or Reinbacher? Dark horse Dvorsky?
Positionally Reinbacher , but I'm not convinced of his top pair potential, so Leonard.

I am pretty excited to get one of Michkov / Smith / Carlsson

If we dont do anything weird we are sure to get one of these so im pretty optimistic with the draft tonight

If we trade down instead of taking one of the big 5 ill be very pissed
