Not a fan of Renaud, but wasn’t he one of the first last year to say the habs were probably not going to take Wright?

Thanks that’s what I was thinking. He probably confused the two
I believe he said something before the draft that he would fall off his chair if the Habs drafted Wright

Renaud Lavoie said on radio that he would pick Michkov and that the Habs should not, not draft him because of politics. And that if you pick him, you can still trade him in the next 3 years if you dont like what you see..

terrible take from Lavoie, if you don't like what you see, he won't have much trade value as we saw with Krastov recently although of course not as hyped you can't go into a draft and think we'll if we don't like him we can always trade him. I would bet most scouts would never think that.

I would love to see the meltdown if Michkov gets drafted second and Carlsson 4th,
I dunno if Putin would allow Michkov to be drafted that high. Who knows though, let's ask the Russian war experts who've been plying their trade on this board for the last few weeks?

Oh, it’s happening.
You mean that the Habs just might draft Michkov afterall or the media getting my faint hopes up thinking they just might take Michkov only to have the Habs pull the rug out from under me which would have me weeping in the fetal position when they don't. :)

We’ve got some crazy folk in here, some who have been posting for years, who are desperate for us to pick someone outside that top 5 like a Leonard. It’s truly baffling.

I’m sure if we pick Michkov they’ll come out of the woodwork and complain.
If they pick Michkov I have full confidence they did their homework with regards to his situation and I will expect to see him before the 3 years in the KHL are up. If they pass, I also trust they have their reasons.

It's weird as shit to me that we can't even discuss anyone else though. People have been getting so pretentious and emotional with this whole Michkov thing to the point where discussing the draft isn't even fun anymore. Such a 1 track mind they don't even realize when they're being clowned or people are joking around. It's hockey, it's just hockey. Go outside and touch grass.

The betting websites make their odds not only on what is most likely to happen, but also on what people are betting on. I suppose Michkov having good interviews riled up many fans that were salivating at those odds and bet a lot on it, so they lowered the return.

what is ANA takes him???
It’s weird because Anaheim seems to much prefer Carlsson over Smith if they get another Center than Fantilli. Columbus I hear prefer Smith. SJ really likes Smith. Carlsson is intriguing.
Plus if you throw Michkov in the mix…
