So habs tank, suck to pick #5 to take a d
While passing a player that could be generational.

It’s not Reinbacher the problem. It’s passing Michkov.

But even if I like Newhook and think he will do well, the Habs have chosen the path of the bubble teams that have Cinderella runs IMO.

They will need good goaltending (which can be found later in drafts) and the will need a solid system to win games 1-0 same as with Price in nets.

How is the 2024 top 5? We are going to be there again, but obviously find a way to mess up the pick again in 2024. Just want to know if 2024 is gonna hurt because we will pass again on elite talent, or it's a weak draft.

Two of those guys were drafted by the same team and both of them were a total reach (Boston 2015 like reach) at their respective rank. Not sure it proves anything.
Not according to their rankings. Not according to Hockey Prospects rankings. HP had Simashev at #5 and But at #7. NHL teams have totally different lists than the public lists made up by media.

Gulyayev now the biggest mock faller (10). Cristall and Moore are the other fallers.

Starting to sweat on Perreault at 19.
