Seems like every team but us is selecting twice in the first round.

They have too many forwards, too many defensemen, I hope Hughes starts moving.

Caufield has the talent to score 50.
Indeed but he'll have a hard time doing it if he isn't surrounded properly. I'm not sure Suzuki is enough without another top end winger.
The good news is we have a couple of years yet to find the ideal companion by hook or crook.

No guarantee of that ever happening though

There's also no guarantee Bedard gets 100 points in the NHL, but I'd say it's pretty likely.

Caufield pace in the NHL:
20-21 33 goal pace
21-22 28 goal pace (including that disastrous 1 goal Ducharme stretch)
22-23 46 goal pace

I would be astonished if Caufield never reach 50 goals. Next season, I expect him to be our first forward to reach 40 goals since 93-94.

LOL, he was scoring at like a 45 goal clip this season not being properly surrounded. Cmon guys.

And now we're gonna suffer the usual "trust the experts" routine.

No cup since 1993. Never a real contender for 30 years except for Cinderella bullshit runs.

Not a lot of size. Most of the top prospects are currently 6'0 and under. There's no Bedard-like prospect AFAIK.
Celebrini and Eiserman are some freaking good though forward prospects though. Celebrini actually performed better at this year's WU18 than Bedard did the previous year. He'd likely be #2 if he was in tonight's draft. He'll be at BU this year.

Great
@SOLR too soon for the Celebrini talk?
In the heart of the rink, where the ice gleams bright,
There's a player named Macklin Celebrini, a wondrous sight.
With a swift, sure stride and a puck on his stick,
He weaves through defenders, oh so slick.

In the jersey of the Habs, he stands so proud,
His talent undeniable, his skill unbowed.
A beacon of hope, in the bleu, blanc, et rouge,
His presence alone, enough to induce a deluge.

His shots are like lightning, quick and precise,
His passes, a symphony on the ice.
With every goal scored, with every assist,
His name in the annals of the Habs persist.

Macklin Celebrini, a star in the making,
With every game, records he's breaking.
In the heart of Montreal, his name rings true,
A hero in the eyes of the red, white, and blue.

He belongs to the Habs, to the city, to the fans,
A testament to hard work, to countless plans.
In the lore of the Canadiens, his story is told,
A tale of courage, of a heart so bold.

So here's to Macklin, a Hab through and through,
To the cheers of the crowd, to the love that grew.
In the annals of hockey, his name will shine,
A beacon of the Habs, forever divine.
