Michkov would be ideal if we're tanking next year too. I don't think that's possible though, we have improved too much. I don't think we'd be in a wildcard spot but we'd be closer to Ottawa without our injuries.

With 3 Russians being picked in the top 12 picks, nobody can say Russiaphobia caused Michkov to slide. He went where teams thought he should go based on where his game projects to be in 3-5 years. Many in here get hypnotized by flash, dash and hype.

HP was very high on Simashev. They rave about his skating.

Two of those guys were drafted by the same team and both of them were a total reach (Boston 2015 like reach) at their respective rank. Not sure it proves anything.
