I'm not nervous about any of our guys potentially on waivers. If they're on waivers, it means we had better options and if one or two of them get claimed I'm confident that we have plenty of other guys who can step up if called on for depth.
I don’t want to lose Regula or Mitchell. RH D are becoming scarce and I’d rank them two of our 4 best D prospects.

Way to funny and good to hear Tony impressing. Had a good feeling about him after watching his play in Montreal and seeing he was top AHL last season. He was certainly impressive his first pre-season game.

McMuffin was a top 3 star in Buffalo (Lohrei, McMuffin, Mitchell/Steen).

Any cuts? when are first cuts? My apologies if this has been posted.
The AHL only guys were missing yesterday so I assume they've been cut

Pretty much any team who hasn’t started their preseason yet will do so tonight, as there’s a solid seven-game slate on the schedule tonight, including a nationally televised battle of New York between the Islanders and Rangers. As most teams do have their legs under them almost one week into training camp, roster cuts continue on the daily, mainly involving players being returned to juniors or being released from PTOs and ATOs after getting a look in preseason action. As always, we’re laser-focused on teams posting their roster moves, and we’re conglomerating them all in one place.

Beecher is playing with the soon to be sent down’s.

Kuntar-Beecher-Steen
Two tiers 12-1

The White jerseys had 6 players who all should be in top 10 - all good size (DeBrusk looks easy 6’1)

Geekie & Coyle both big boys
JVR & Fred good size

I’ve come around on the idea that Zboril is gone. He ain’t worth the extra cap hit vs Mitchell or Regula, and if a LD goes down I’d rather Lorhei gets the minutes. If he has the lower cap hit, his ability to play both sides would make him the winner…but that just isn’t the case.

Good stuff

I will be very irritated if Mitchell is waived and claimed

Also Poitras looks really good again

We can't afford a 23 man roster. So it's one and one extras.

I think there's a possibility Grizz or Forbort get moved so as to open up some cap flexibility and make room for Lohrei. I'm not saying it's probable, just possible.

I think Beecher is #1 on that list because he's a LH C, which they need badly for the PK.

I don't think Greer is that high. I think Lauko is a lock due to waiver eligibility.

You'd have $4,679,116 to fill those remaining 6 slots. This works out to an average of $779,861 per slot.

1. Jakub Lauko- $787,500
2. AJ Greer- $762,500
3. Jakub Zboril- $1,137,500
4. John Beecher- $925,000
5. Danton Heinen- ???
6. Marc McLaughlin - $775,000

Not accounting for Heinen you're at a 22 man roster with $291k in cap space. If this team wants to have a 23 man roster then Zboril or Forbort can't be on the roster.

Can't even do it with just cutting Zboril for Mitchell. To get to 23 you need to cut Grizz or Forbort (or somehow a F but not sure who that would even be other than jettisoning Geekie).

One guy Marchand was chatting up and seemed bro’s - your guy

I’m putting Heinen somewhere in that lineup

1. I think he’s a good player
2. Human suffering it causes

Being entirely honest about him, I wonder a couple of things.

1. Is he going to be the difference between being a playoff team or contender? I say no. So given that I’d much rather a younger guy (maybe 2 or 3 over the course of the season) be given the spot.

2. If he’s as good as some are saying, and given the Bruins cap situation, why wouldn‘t:

A. Another team offer him more than the Bruins can afford?
B. The Bruins have locked him up already to get some cap clarity for the rest of the roster?

I feel the same way about Chiasson, who I actually like, BTW.

Heinen gonna score the Bruins first regular season goal. The simulation demands it.

And even more likely, he’ll go goalless for the next 15 games.
