Not for the guys hoping to be claimed...

Has anyone been claimed of all the team waivers?

That's fantastic...Let's see if Brown and Greer are worthy of being claimed....doubt it. In fact they may jeopardize the development of some of the younger players in Providence.
Maybe 4 or 5 league wide

All that teeth gnashing for nothing

hardly any. Cap and roster size/contracts are as important as talent.

the Main Board is listing them as they occur.

For those still wondering about the "Brown over Beecher" thing... look a bit northwest to Ottawa. Roby Jarventie had 4 goals and an assist in the preseason. He's a 6'3 winger who they converted to C last year in the AHL and who played at a .75 ppg clip down there.

They just sent him down after being the BEST goal scorer on the team in the preseason and instead went with 27 year old AHLer Rourke Chartier, who has played 19 NHL games and 1 pt in 8 years since being drafted.

This is what NHL teams do.
OR....

they waive Brown and Beecher makes the team!!

I think all the guys that just cleared have one-way contracts as well as the two put on waivers today ....so at least all of them will make their NHL salary money playing in the AHL. I'm also sure Don is looking to move a few of them if he can

Good, they can demote Beecher (on paper) during longer layoffs and save some of that sweet sweet extra cap space.

Lohrei first call up on D when there’s an injury. Hopefully they rotate Mitchell in when Forbort or Shattenkirk have a bad game.
Lauko, Beecher, Poitras, Mitchell is a good amount of young legs

Sure seems like this is gonna be the lineup. Poitras and beecher winning roster spots has multiple my excitement for this season by like 10x. I'm pumped for opening night.
