I think Beck is unquestionably better than every player on this list right now.

Danielson is a 23 draft player and is eligible next year as well.

I think these forwards are locks:

Bedard
Othmann
Stankoven
Dean
Roy
Ostapchuk
Gaucher
Fantilli
Kidney
Beck

4 spots open after that
I wouldn’t say kidney is a lock even if he was on the team last year.
I’d say beck is more of a lock than kidney

Savoie was better than a lot of the forwards that made team Canada in August, and he still wasn't picked.

Savoie is not nearly as versatile as Beck. In fact I’d argue Beck is one of maybe 2 or 3 forwards for Canada who can slot into any role.

Canada has plenty of players similar to a player like Beck who are in their last year of eligibility.

Zack Ostapchuk
Riley Kidney
Nathan Gaucher
Zach Dean
Danny Zhilkin
Colton Dach
Jayden Grubbe
Justin Robidas
Josh Bloom
Nate Danielson
Tucker Robertson

That‘s just the guys Beck will battle with who are in their last year of eligibility. That’s not even including the more offensive players and the 18 year olds he’s competing with.
Beck is for sure making a name for himself but to say he his a lock is insane lol
Montreal got a gem of a player with their third pick !!! Beck might make Montreal next year or the year after.

I definitely think beck will be on team Canada this year.

By the way, I’m not sold on kidney and I am a Montreal fan.

Good start for a lot of guys this year. It's gonna be hard to make the team. My dream lineup:

Roy-Stankoven-Bedard
Othmann-Wright-Savoie/Dumais
Bolduc-Fantilli-Savoie/Dumais
Dean-Gaucher-Kidney
Ostapchuk, Beck

Zellwegger-Lambos
Korchinski-Clarke
Mateychuk-Matier
Laroque

Gaudreau
Brennan

I'm glad you mentioned that, because I've been looking around trying to find out who the coaching staff was this year, and haven't found anything. This seems a little, ummm, late....no?
I assume that Hockey Canada has a coaching staff in place that has been working on things, but there was no announcement because they are waiting for things to cool down a bit. At least I hope that is what is going on.

I think DelMastro has to be on the list. He would be great paired with Matier in a shutdown and PK role.

I'm going with

Guenther - Wright - Bedard
Stankoven - Roy - Johnston
Fantilli - Savoie - Yager
Othmann - Beck - Ostapchuk
Bolduc

Korchinski - Mateychuk
Zellweger - Allan
Ceulemans - Lambos
Pickering

Brennan - Gaudreau - Beaupit

That's a very strong group if that's the team.

I wonder how many times all 7 teams could have won their games, probably not that many I'm guessing.

Hi Jackslater.

L'Heureux is out with an injury, and may not come back until sometime in December. After seeing how he played at the summer camp. I don't he is one of the elite top 12-14 junior players in the country. Ceulemanns looked really slow during the summer camp.

Here is the most likely camp invitees for December, listed by skills and potential line chemistry. I am excluding the players who are in the NHL:

Othmann Stankoven Bedard
Bolduc Savoie Roy
Ostapchuk Gaucher Winterton (currently injured)
Bloom Dean Robertson
Fantilli Kidney Firkus
Del Bel Belluz

Allan Zellweger
Mateychuk Matier
Del Mastro Lambos
Pickering Kyrou
Korchinski Ceulemans
Samson
Here is an update on the December camp invite, based on Oct performance and video review:
Please note some players are off the list and some are added:

Othmann Stankoven Bedard
Bolduc Savoie Roy
Ostapchuk Gaucher Winterton (currently injured)
Fantilli Dean Robertson
Arcuri Gill Beck
Del Bel Belluz Kidney Firkus

Del Mastro Zellweger
Mateychuk Matier
Allan Lambos
Pickering Kyrou
Korchinski Ceulemans
Thornton Samson

Looks like most of the NHL guys will stick at this point. Things can change but Wright is the only one who looks out of place, at least from what I've seen/read.

Curious why most of these predictions aren’t including Mailloux?

Hockey Canada is already in a bad spot, adding him just makes them look worse based on what he did.

And it's not like he's head and shoulders above other defensemen competing. I'd rather have a decent list of guys over him.

pretty simple.

Hockey Canada doesn’t want to fan the fire.

Even without the scandal, he hasn’t played enough hockey the past year. Other than his draft pedigree, what has he done to put him over other players? He would be a maybe without the scandal, in my opinion.
