WJC: 2023 Team Canada Roster Talk Part 2

Joshua Roy is one of the more underrated forwards on this team. Not only is he one of the best forwards in the QMJHL, but people tend to forget that he had 8 points in 7 games at the last WJC.

He's not one of the best forward in the Q, he's the best and has been for the last 2 years.

I said it this summer and I got laugh at but he was Canada best forward after McTavish. He was 2nd on the team for icetime behind the MVP of the Gold medal team. It doesn't make any sense to leave him out of both PP on this team, he should be ahead of Fantilli and Othman IMO.

Anyway, this team is going to win Gold.

You know I'm being politically correct as besides point totals, it's somewhat difficult to judge who the best player in a league is, but yes, I think he's been the best too ;)

I think Stankoven was better but he probably slots in after that.

I want Canada to have a clean win this year. NO TSN cameras, NO miracle saves, just the best team running the table.

This World Juniors feels so weird without sponsorships and being right after the summer one.

I absolutely love it though, so simple yet so entertaining. Halifax/Moncton have already been great hosts to this very strange last minute host relocation because of the invasion of Ukraine.

I’m seeing Czechia vs Switzerland today and I will be seeing Switzerland vs Sweden and Canada vs Finland tomorrow, can’t wait!

Dead wood 🪵 on this team

Team is full of Big and soft guys. I saw I think 2 good hits yesterday. And one was from bedard 😂

My favourite hockey at my favourite time of the year. To me the World Juniors is Christmas as much as mistletoe, lifesavers in your stocking, and hearing Mariah at the mall lol

The only drawbacks that will certainly take away from this year’s iteration is the lack of having Russia, and how much TSN/Bell is prepared to lecture us and turn the 2018 event into some woke talking point to hammer away at every intermission.

Barely, the whole boards in the arenas in Halifax/Moncton are just Hockey NB/NS, IIHF App, City of Moncton/Halifax logos, #EXPL RENB, NovaScotia.com, and a long row of red maple leafs in the corners. It’s very strange to see.
 
Come on you must all admit , the USA 🇺🇸 team built faster then the Canadian team. USA will get out of their own zone with puck movers and quick skating that Canada just cant keep up because they picked 2 or so guys that could have been replaced by faster skaters. The USA will come in waves , line after line after line , like piranha coming for an attack

Canada built a team as if it were building an nhl team with salary cap 🧢!! There is no salary cap in international hockey , they should have taken the best players. The best players were not taken. Emphasis on big and soft rather then small and quick

Summer you were 1 inch away from silver. This time around we will see. I have my reservations about this team and I hope they prove me wrong. Good luck
