It's not a good idea for any player to publically demand to play for one team. But I'm sure he can make it known in interviews with these teams it's his dream to play for the Canucks and this might make them think longterm if they'd be better off trading the pick to Vancouver.

how many more years does it takes before management realize a full rebuild is nessasary. If we don't do it, we will stay forever mediocre.

Stay the course, don't make any trades, we're in a perfect spot in the standings right now. Don't want any trades until the deadline now.

The players are doing it for management. Go with the flow. New management want their stamp anyways. Letterimaki is not it.

The Canucks will need to be mathematically eliminated from playoff contention by the trade deadline to be sellers.

Only wanted to tank to turf Benning and finally wanted to be excited about the team for the first time since 2013. Nope.

So sad the Whitecaps are also garbage and icky to root for and we've no other teams, because I for sure am not bringing up my kid to be witness to this souless shit franchise.

If we tank and start over again this team isn't winning a cup in the 2020s. Maybe at the very end of it and with 32 teams it's a crapshoot even if you execute a proper rebuild perfectly.

I guess all that to say I'm finally checking out for real off this team, because if dumping Green and Benning couldn't do it, nothing will. Good luck to the newer fans and the long suffering veterans.

This franchise cannot do nothing, like they're literally not capable of it. As obvious as it is that they've backed themselves into a corner and have no better options other than riding the shit storm out.. I can't see a world where they don't keep trying to tinker with this broken down bus.

How absolutely deflating.

Re-signing Kuzmenko, moving Horvat/Boeser/Myers (With retained salary), getting a top-5 pick in this draft would probably be as quick as a rebuild as this team could make. We'd get a decent haul for Horvat from a contender - he is absolutely a piece that all contenders would love to add. Boeser we'd probably be able to get a high draft pick based off of his reputation and his relatively young age - a team would bet on him bouncing back and he's just 1 season removed from 49 points in 56 games. Myers at a 3 million cap hit fits the mold of the big defensemen who have returned a 1st round pick, and I absolutely believe we could get that for him. It would probably be a 2 year thing, but we'd emerge with a 1-2 punch that would be elite, as I think legitimately every pick in this year's top 5 will end up an elite centre (Except Michkov who will be an elite winger).
