WC: 2023 Sweden Roster Talk

Thanks top players for not supporting the growth of new Swedish top players , that with your unwillingness to play for team Sweden, show a new generation that there aint important to play for team Sweden. I miss Sundin and those players who almost never said no. So sincerly fk u all (who aint hurt).

This goes for all teams though, and I can understand someone who accepts almost everytime for example Nylander not wanting to go sometimes aswell. There’s too big of an NHL monopoly.
 
Good that Grundström is in, I'd like him to take Zetterlunds spot with Leo and Raymond.

Grundström - Leo - Raymond
Berggren - Lindberg - A. Nylander
Silfverberg - Rasmussen - Zetterlund
Johansson - Lindholm - Petersson

Now I want to hear the status Brodin and H. Lindholm. Our defence needs an upgrade.

On F, I think it is only Arvidssons status that is unknown. But he has battled injuries, so I assume a no from him

Well, today there's Dahlin, Nylander, A.Larsson, & OEL. The amount has increased compared to the days of Loui.

There's Olofsson too, but the spots for wingers are being swallowed up. 6 NHLers on forward now, all wingers.

I think Olofsson would've been announced by now if he was coming. It's like a month since his season ended. I don't expect anymore players from none-playoff teams

Yes, if Willy comes our wingers are filled up. If we get Järnkrok he has to play center. I am not sure what do to with Järnkrok tough. I'd rather keep slots open for Wennberg and William Karlsson, but it wouldn't be fair to ask him to wait.

A. Nylander - Järnkrok - W. Nylander
Berggren - Lindberg - Silfverberg
Zetterlund - Lindholm - Petersson
 
It scares me that its possible Zetterlund will be kicked out because Grundström comes in. We need both of them. Having 2 such players with that stong physical game is good to have, this WC will be on small rinks. Grundström is good enough for top 9 role, while Zetterlund is a decent 4th liner.

i feel sorry for Hallam to have this shit team. he deserves more.

this is probaly our weakest wc team ever? even the teams garpenlöv had was better.

for me it makes no sense with all the declines. there is no best on best anymore, many should be hungry to play. and if the players still had stanley cup, they would play, so why not play in WC? wc could be their playoffs....

i agree with this lines. i would only remove petersson, and insert linus johansson

If at least one of the top players said yes others will follow. Most dissapointed with EP and Karlsson. Show some gutz and go against Vancouvers stupid claim. And Karlsson not saying yes after a season like this. Not a good signal.

On the other hand u want players who wants to be there. Now lets give away another gold to Finland.

Giveaway, schmiveaway.
They have Rantanen. Right now that’s the main difference apart from that they have the strongest core of European based hockey-players. It’s been that way for a while.

We need some parity in the world of league hockey.

And laine. Rantanen is a pretty big piece. They might get Heiskanen. Our biggest stars allready said no or are unfortunate hurt.

No, Laine is not in match condition and Lehtinen did not include him in the nomination yesterday. They are waiting for Dallas players, they would probably only take defenders there.

Yes and no Sweden might get Nylander, Lindholm, Wennberg, Larsson, W.Karlsson with the same logic. I don’t really believe in any major additions for Sweden now, but I don’t really think that’s the case for any other team either.
 
Only W.Nylander is realistic, its just one of those declines years.

Being leaffan i hope you are wrong. But i dont see them winning 4games in a row. Nylander is snakebitten(and got zero chemistry with Tavares) but been one of the best in effort last two games. Would be fun to see him with his brother.

I wonder about this phrasing:

"Väl där kommer inte alla att anmälas till turneringen i väntan på vilka NHL-spelare som blir tillgängliga. Högst upp på Tre Kronors önskelista är Bostons back Hampus Lindholm (som är utslagen) och Torontos William Nylander (som ligger under med 0–3 mot Florida)."

My translation:
"Upon arrival, everyone will not be registered awaiting which NHLers might be available. On top of Tre Kronors want list id Hampus Lindholm (already knocked out) and William Nylander."

Does that mean that they are still waiting for a decesion from Lindholm? Come on Hampus, the least you could've done is made a decesion before the team travels to Finland. Must suck to go all the way yo Finland and then go home after like one practise because someone couldn't make up their mind in time
