Funny how much real estate this guy had in Canadian heads when he was deciding where to play...
Would've still liked to have him capped for Canada.Funny how much real estate this guy had in Canadian heads when he was deciding where to play...
Haha, yeah I would agree. At this point I will take any dual-nat I can just to say we convinced someone to go the Canada route.Would've still liked to have him capped for Canada.
Fifa says the total amount paid to agents during the recent transfer window was $696.6m (£558.3m), which "corresponds to nearly 10% of the total spending on transfer fees". This compares to 5.8% in 2013.
Fifa adds that despite over three months of 2023 still remaining, the "total amount of service fees for club agents since the beginning of the year has already reached $865m (£693.25m). This is the highest total ever recorded and 38.8% higher than the whole of 2022".
Given the figures do not include transfers that take place within a single country, Fifa concedes the overall amounts paid to agents is likely to be "substantially higher".
Fifa's new regulations around agents which, in part, aim to curb "excessive fees" come into force on 1 October.
Hate it when guys who could’ve played for us get one-and-done for other countriesFunny how much real estate this guy had in Canadian heads when he was deciding where to play...
That can't be how it works for FFP, right? Surely they have to take into account all of the transfer costs, including the transfer fee and agent/intermediary fees (though I'm not sure if agent fees get capitalized/amortized vs expensed right away).I’m curious what the fee is without intermediaries and agents as that is the sum Chelsea would be on the hook for regarding FFP.
Yeah, I saw that as well. Hard to see them go after him again considering how much they spent.Chelsea had a bid rejected for him on deadline day.
I thought it was incredibly obviousWhat are you insinuating?
Thanks!Athletic center back with good feet for his size, a goal threat on set pieces. Was a project for Hajduk Split thus made his debut with the senior team at the age of 16 though as expected being thrown into the fire so early there was some growing pains even at the Croatian league level. He was supposedly close to joining PSG but the transfer fell through. This season he hasn't played at all (probably due to the impending sale). The Croatian media reports he will stay at Hajduk until the winter then probably move on loan to another European league ala Belgium/Netherlands for further development
Only concern is outside of Modric and to a lesser extent Kranjcar these Croatian League to EPL moves rarely work out, though it appears he is still a few years away from making a significant contribution to Spurs and will hopefully "grow" on loan at the leagues in between the two levels
Tell me more... not obvious for me.I thought it was incredibly obvious
