No, it was quite clearly an evaluation between Ugochukwu and Santos, not a failsafe on if we were going to spend bigger money on another CDM. I don't know how you can see things play out in reality, right in front of you, and then just go with some other wild conclusion.
I mean use the search function from when the signing was made, but again, not every team has a JV squad in L1. All the reporting was they didn’t know where he was sending up. They’ve clearly gotten a better offer for Santos, who a lot of people wanted to start MW1. It was absolutely a fail safe. It is wasn’t people wouldn’t have been unsure what team he’d be playing for this season.

You realize that teams are limited on the amount of abroad loans they have available to them, and that we only have 1 player loaned to our "JV" squad. The reporting was that he was going to be evaluated by Poch, he was never destined to be loaned, he was always going to get a look. He has attributes that make him more unique to the squad than Santos, and attributes that Poch has specifically mentioned as a weakness on the squad.

You have only 1 player loaned to your JV squad right now

Also not everyone has the luxury of a JV team

Why is Laporte going to Saudi so cheap? He's actually good. Isn't he?
This question can be answered for any name and should be a insta-response from the bots, if people go to SA ---- IT IS ABOUT THE MONEY. It is almost always about the money. That and it is a less demanding league... you don't have to be perfect game in game out and can 'relax' a bit more.... and also may be easier making first squad for some. Common sense stuff.

Salah not leaving this summer. Kinda surprised because these losers would do something like sell him and then not replace him. But I’m glad.

Honestly. I would sell him, depending of the offer. I do not like handling a player with his head turned.

I wouldn't until next summer. Only way I would is if we bought Mbappe. Otherwise no.
My expectation for this year are clearly not as high as other LFC supporter. I think this squad lack plenty of depth and I am not sure if it's a money issue or Klopp overruling all transfer but they clearly have not done proper work this summer. I do think keeping Salah this year would not help much if we are forced to start the like of Joe Gomez or Curtis Jones at some point because of injuries.

I mean PIF hasn’t put a bid in yet.

After the Si Queda incident I’m not discounting anything

I’d sell if there was a coherent contingency plan. There isn’t

They have a year to plan for this now. But as we’ve seen that isn’t enough time for this front office to do so

If there was no history of injury riddled seasons, maybe, but apparently LFC and Klopp are okay with it even though they had experienced it in the past. I have no words.

Yeah, they’ve learned absolutely nothing

Could be better bonuses, better sell-on clause. The latter is particularly important in case he continues to thrive. But, like, maybe Monaco just had better catering

@Duchene2MacKinnon i think you’ll like this one

Posting the aggregator because I don’t speak Dutch which I believe is the original source but for those that do:

Perfect Ajax finally moving in the right direction. Come one Redondo. This is a pleasant surprise, unlike your name change. Change it back ASAP.
