Transfer: 2023 Summer Transfer Window - Open Window Edition

I don’t agree but that’s okay
All stats point to otherwise, as well as the NT of Brazil.
Does Andre is worth more than double the price of Joao Gomes, probably not but 1 for 1, André offer more.

See by yourself:

Way better passing completion, better % duel won and the rest is pretty much very comparable.

Watching both play in brazil, I would say André is way more important to his team than Joao Gomes was for Flamengo. He covers so much ground, Kante-esque.

I would also add that playing for Flamengo in brazil is like playing for Bayern in the bundesliga. Their budget is significantly more than all other clubs, it's easier to be succesful at Flamengo than at Fluminense.

That’s fine. I still like Gomes better. Think his game translates better. I like Andre, but I’d rather have Gomes

What worries me about Andre is Fluminese's so called "Relationism" playing style. Will he be able to adapt, or is he even good enough in a stricter type of positional play? It' so different compared to Klopp and Liverpool. Just had a bad experience with my local team with a similar transfer, now 6 months later he is back in a team with his old coach again.

Yeah I am seeing what you are seeing. And with his size, there is going to be a very low margin for error with this player

Would rather buy a CB (and/or a RB) than a DM right now anyway

OM desparate to sell to get some cash back after their CL crash.
They will probably sell Guendouzi to Lazio.

He is the same size as Joao Gomes and he has better aerial duel won too.

I do not like spending 40M but he has sufficient elite attributes to succeed in the EPL.

For the record, he was heavily tracked by many top side, including Sporting CP who wanted him to replace Ugarte.

Well we aren’t spending 40. It’ll be 20 in January.

I think Gomes a little bigger. And he’s winning more aerials in the PL than Andre is winning in SA. So we will see if it translates or not. Either way I still like Joao Gomes better, but that’s nothing against Andre

I think they should sell Ruben Blanco. They're playing him very sparingly, and guy was a starter in La Liga for a few years, so somebody would probably be interested in him.

Given the recent performances of the starting goalie, Blanco could start very soon.

Peretz is going to Bayern for 5M + bonuses. Kid was great against our U21 team but I would not complain if not getting a sure fire starter backfires on them…

I wonder if the money they had to spend on Kane tied their hands on a better keeper the way it seems to have tied their hands on a stud 6?
