FWIW He was still very good the last time we saw him on the pitch for them
Blink and you'll miss him until his next recovery though.

Tapsoba isn't german, you're thinking of Tah...who's also looking at an EPL move this summer. Tapsoba's a huge talent, but just like Tah he hasn't been very consistent for Leverkusen. Although both are coming off good seasons where they were very solid after the coaching change.

Tough to say if they'll rise to a new challenge or if this is just who they are.
I think he's a lot less frustrating than Tah, but maybe just hasn't had as many seasons to get to that point.

I think it's that. At 24 it's just starting to get frustrating that his focus comes & goes, at 27 it would be just as annoying as Tah has become...

Even though they've both actually been quite solid since Xabi took over...as I often found myself getting annoyed at how well Tah was finally playing, so many years after I had given up on the light coming on for him.

Thanks, totally forgot that he's French and yeah I was totally misremembering him and Tah. Would you think Tapsoba needs a couple more seasons of development in BuLi before heading to the exceptional EPL?

*Burkina Faso and came through Portugal

I think he needs a bigger challenge than the pill pushers can provide. He might not make that next step, and it could take him a while even if he does eventually make it, but without that greater challenge, he'll continue to stagnate...just like Tah did.

He's already 24. If he needs a couple more seasons then he'll be a late bloomer even for a CB. I would imagine that Bayer aren't going be offering discounts and that better value for money might be had elsewhere.

Can you please clarify what exactly it stopped? Because if PSG is what “stopped” looks like….. which isn’t making a point about PSG for the record
I don't know if you've followed PSG transfers, but they had to cut into the budget plenty of years instead of "unlimited money" like people keep on saying. That's also why they let Di Maria go last summer for instance.

PSG are about to realize a windfall of savings with regards to wages considering everyone who is leaving or rumored to be leaving this Summer.
But they get their loan army back. Except Icardi who's performed greatly and is rumored to be staying in Turkey.

They should have some other sales of loan players. Navas apparently wants to stay in the EPL, for instance. I'm sure they'll be able to move some of the others. Paredes, Kurzawa, Wijnaldum

Yeah, but I'm sure plenty of them are going to be flogged and Messi's wages alone are surely notably more than the lot of them combined. Now throw in Ramos and maybe Neymar and you've still got a huge windfall.

What they do in the future isn't really a counter to what they've done in the past. It's pretty laughable to pretend they've been appreciably hamstrung by FFP.

Japhet Tanganga is being linked to a 12.5-14M euro move to Bayer, Union, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, or Hamburg.

Yann Sommer is being linked to Leicester, Monaco, Valencia, and Villareal.

Real, LFC, & ManU have reportedly joined the mix for Pavard.

Sky says that Newcastle have been scouting Szoboslai twice in the last two weeks.

Oliver Christensen to Brighton has a lot of steam.

Nicolas Jackson is the latest striker that Leipzig have been linked to...as well as french RB Sacha Boey.

Bild is linking Gladbach & Burnley to Tom Krauß.

Alderete is leaving Hertha for Getafe. Deal already done.

AC Milan seem to be close to signing Kamada.

And Marseille have enquired about Azmoun.

If Berger says it then there's a good chance it's coming right from BVB:

Sure not denying that. But for the house cleaning they really do need to sell. And the insane wages are preventing that.
Paredes is coming back. Wij too. And plenty of others.

Does that mean we're actually counting on him going forward then or is it just to keep from losing him on a free?
He makes sense to keep as a RW option. If he stays, I have the shopping list as 2 CM (1 if Xhaka stays) and a RB/LB. Nice to get would be another CB.
