It would be annoying to have Bayern pip Rice now after all the work done. On the other hand, it's a big fee, and if we spent it appropriately I'd get over it pretty fast

Potential to be a very good signing for Villa, especially if Emery plays him on the left wing, where I think it's his best position, but where he couldn't play for Real for obvious reasons.

Honestly I'm surprised it's taken this long for another team to get him/Real to let him go (assuming it goes through). He's always seemed like a player that could potentially do a lot more on another team

No doubt the right call. Very frustrating player. Scored at the exact same clip at Chelsea as he has every year at Atletico. Showed glimpses of brilliance and then has one of the worst shots I’ve ever seen from a professional footballer

He doesn't track back or defend at all either. He's not generating enough on the attack to justify having to be carried.

I miss Timo Werner.

I’m really curious what Everton do this summer. Even being on the brink of relegation, they’ve still got a solid income level so could chase some solid targets, but they’ve been an absolute train wreck in transfers the last several years, so they could also make some hilarious panic buys trying to ensure they don’t have a repeat of this year.
I think a lot depends on their standing with FFP. IIRC they had to sell Richarlison to comply with FFP and they still are facing the charges for breaching FFP. I read somewhere that Onana might be the one sold this summer

If you told me they signed Harvey Barnes for 30m+ I would not be surprised one bit

Unai will get the best out of him

He's been floated as someone Liverpool might be interested in. I don't think it fits the mark, but who knows.
Schmadkte was brought in to help with Bundesliga and this is the only player I’ve seen mentioned from that league. That is very underwhelming to say the least. Also Pavard isn’t good

Liverpool pushing for Khephren Thuram.

Newcastle had heavy interest, so wonder if they are still favorite

Thuram would certainly help the pace/power / athleticism issues.

Still need a midfielder that can stop a counter attack though

Feels like LFC was the easiest team to counter on in the league last year. Also feels like they are planning on starting Fabinho again next year which is a very bad idea.

They were easy to counter because the legs are gone. You're getting new blood in the midfield that will help.
