Interesting call to go for this with 3 timeouts and the two minute warning on 4th and 20.
Seems like a lack of confidence in stopping the Detroit running game.Especially only down 1. If you need a TD, I can kind of understand going for it.
But a FG wins the game. Punt it inside the 20, hold them and give Mahomes the ball with ~90 seconds left and only ~30-40 yards needed.
Dude, it's the Lions. You gotta wait for triple zeroes before making a statement like that.Chiefs are about to lose.
That's a shame.......a damn shame
you're right. I should know thatDude, it's the Lions. You gotta wait for triple zeroes before making a statement like that.
Entire receiving corps had a severe case of butterfingersOh god they're gonna have another 4th and short again, aren't they?
NOPE! Montgomery gets it and the game is over barring disaster!
11 offensive possessions, 13 net points for KC without Kelce.
In a way, I get it - a first down for Detroit ends the game anyway. But now KC's gonna need a TD instead of a FG with 1 timeout left even if they get the 3 and out. And Detroit can call anything on first down.
Well, as it turned out, trying to get it was their only hope since Detroit got their first down. Obviously that's hindsight though. But I do suspect the fact that the offensive line for Detroit was starting to impose their will was a factor in Reid's decision.I’ll be curious to see the odds on that decision. I bet a 4th and 25 has odds less than 10% of being successful.
KC has a real WR issue. But I guess it doesn’t matter if Kelce returns. They win that game if he is in IMO.
Detroit is fun but man do they have some huge limitations at QB.
Hell yeah, but it's nice seeing the Chiefs lose on their SB celebration night! This goes without saying, but the zip Mahomes and Allen can put on the ball is special. Hebert is the only other QB that's close. The lions offense has two drives that produced points!
As always, dont read too much into September/October performances. They matter in the sense that wins/losses are treated equally no matter when you get them. BUT how a team looks in the first two months is irrelevant
Losing Orlando Brown could be detrimental. He was a beast in the playoffs for them. It peeves me that the Bengals signed him. Oh well, I've at least read he has consistency problems. Burrow is spoiled with the weapons and O line they're building in Cincy. Props to the Bengals FO.KC has a talent problem at WR.
