I'm glad we get the Jets week 1 , before AR finds a groove with his receivers.Bills jump out early and cling to a 10 point lead.

On the flip side, awesome job by Benford. I didn't think Jackson was bad competition for that spot, either. Shows how high McDermott thinks of him.

Poona should get plenty of time once Phillips goes down in the 2nd quarter with a lingering stubbed toe.

Thank you to everyone who offered advise. I appreciate it!

So the league is through yahoo. Do you know what their point system is? Or does it depend on the specific league she’s playing in? If it’s a standardized point system for all yahoo leagues, how would you value RBs, WRs, QBs?

Thanks again everyone
If it's standard public Yahoo league, I believe it is 0.5 points per reception (PPR), and then the rest is pretty standard: 1 point per 10 yards rushing/receiving, 1 point per 25 yards passing, passing TDs are 4 points, other TDs are 6 points, INTs are -1, fumbles are -2, FGs start at 3 poitns and go up to 5 for 50+ yards, defense gets 10 for a shutout and then there are a series of ranges that drop the scoring down (and they get points for sacks and takeaways). Private leagues may make tweaks to the scoring (such as going to a whole point PPR), but you'd be able to see it in the league settings before the draft.

In general, the best RBs tend to go first, because RB has the least depth--once you get past the first 10-15 guys there's a lot of guys most people don't get terribly excited about. WR has more depth, but the top guys are elite. QB will often be the highest scorer on your team, but given that teams generally only start 1 (and keep 1 backup), you can usually afford to wait even if other teams take the top guys.

I can't stress how useful it is to do a few mock drafts (yahoo is here: Yahoo ). You'll get used to yahoo's interface and the draft mechanics in general, as well as see how other people are drafting and where you can expect players to get taken.

I love Bill's Mafia!

Anyone betting should thank all of these guys for driving's the odds as nobody picks us to win a playoff game and most don't even have us making the playoffs after 3 losses last year and half the starters out Or limited Cool. Gracias garcias

We may be rusty and tentative w all the physical and mental recovery from last bs year.

But. This team will prove they all have At least one more year all together at thr highest level in all their careers . We will be Fn Good at the right times throughout the year and beyond F em all

Peter King just picked a Eagles - Bills Super Bowl fwiw

The first rule of betting is to take emotion out of it.

Likely will pop in on tonight's opening game, then the LONG wait until Monday night.

AFC East

Buffalo Bills: The Bills have harbored legitimate Super Bowl aspirations for the past three seasons, but they’ve only won four playoff games in that span. Why? Almost unanimously, league evaluators have cited the team’s lack of a running game beyond quarterback Josh Allen, which becomes more of an issue in the postseason for a cold-weather team. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs’ situation has piqued the interest of rival teams, too. That could have ramifications on the Bills’ potential for success this season.

Singletary, Cook, and Moss combined for 283 attempts 1417 yards 7 TDs and 5.0 Yds/Att last season.

The issue has always been about showing up in the postseason for everyone, especially the defense.

Kincaid and his matchups will be one to watch Monday night imo.
Yeah. If he can provide very good slot play, then that'll be huge. I wanted to rip my hair out whenever McKenzie would drop a big 3rd down throw from Allen. We've been missing a stud in the slot since Beasley's 2020 season.

Part of the problem is also Allen, he would ignore Beasley for large stretches while holding onto the ball looking for the big play. There were many times last year that Knox and our RBs were wide open underneath and Allen either ignored them our waited too long to get them the ball.

A lot of that last season was after the elbow injury which hurt more on the shorter throws and felt better on the deep throws.

If you look at the Rams game, people talked about how Allen and Dorsey carved up their defense by being patient and taking what they gave them.

The Bills receiving weapons are way better this year as opposed to last year.

Their #3 WR in targets last season was cut and then brought back this year with the Colts. Their starting slow WR last year is on a practice squad to start this season.

Cook can be a more dynamic option in the passing game.

Kincaid, Harty, and Sherfield could turn out to be huge upgrades over the 3rd, 4th, and 5th options they had last season.

I agree that the weapons are better this year, but I thought Allen really started relying on the knock out punch more and more after those first few games. Something with the offense seemed to shift after the first half of the Green Bay game, which was well before the elbow injury. They still put up their points, but offensive efficiency seemed to go down.

I mentioned that it was on Allen, but I have no idea whether that actually falls on Allen or Dorsey.

The media narrative that the bills are no longer good and are behind the jets and dolphins on paper is wild. It has taken on a life of its own this off-season.

Of course, Vegas and betting have not followed suit and Bills are absolutely one of the betting favorites for all things good

The stats show that the Bills offensive efficiency was top 5 in the NFL last year.

The biggest issue they had last year was turning the ball over. But, the ups and downs the offense had last season are par for the course, even for an elite offensive team.

Just look at the ups and downs that the Chiefs and Bengals had on offense last season. Things are never going to be smooth and optimal for a full season.

Bruce and Nate talked about this on today's episode. The media wants to be the first to say a team will take the next step (Jets and Dolphins) or that a team will drop off (Bills).

Nobody is talking a lot nationally about the Chiefs and Bengals because they aren't sexy teams to have hot takes about.

Vegas knows that the Bills will be good and that Bills Mafia loves to bet on the Bills to win right now. Their lines will take those two things into consideration.
