I'm surprised at the volume of objections to the pitch clock. I find baseball to be unwatchable, and used to be a big fan. I used to struggle to get through an entire inning going back several years. Now I struggle to get through a whole at-bat. The pitcher and batter delays with no one on base are inexcusable. And players I suspect will get used to the new pace soon enough.

The only people that have a legit complaint about the pitch clock and faster games are the folks that have club level/all you can drink seats.

I'll never forget the one time I sat up there, the game lasted 2 and a half hours when the games the day before and after lasted well over 3 hours. If I'm drinking for free, I want a longer game.

I was furious/heartbroken when the Red Sox let Pedro Martinez walk after 2004.

In hindsight, it was the right decision.
Pedro’s first year with the Mets was pretty solid, though. 15-8 with a 2.82 ERA.

2005 was sort of a bridge year before they went out and got Beckett.

I went to Fenway in 2006 when it was Beckett vs. Pedro and Pedro got rocked.

The T ride back to Wellington was NOT a lot of fun for me, decked out in my Mets Pedro jersey and cap.

Oh yeah, baby! Give me the clock!!

Such a big improvement. In general I don't like the idea of the clock, it just adds an extra layer of complication and could potentially have an impact on an important part of a game, but this was self inflicted by the players with their ridiculous routines. I don't know why more pitchers couldn't model themselves after Buehrle or Halladay, obviously most don't have the talent that they had, but they were very efficient pitchers.

1:51 for two pitches.

And some don’t like the clock and prefer slow torture.

Absolute lunacy to take a minute per pitch. By May-June when all the kinks are worked out, we’re going to wonder why this wasn’t implemented much sooner.

We’re also going to get more steals and hits with the other rule changes. MLB knocked it out of the park with this one. Less BS, more action.

Gonna be very interesting to see how the clock affects some of the top tier pitching talent that are notoriously slow on the mound. Corbin Burnes and Yu Darvish are two who come to mind.

Darvish was worth an extra 30-40min alone, whenever he pitched.

Matt Clement would of been taken away in a straight jacket.

Hell baby
that’s a brutal injury

Always feel awful for spring training casualties. I feel like there’s a couple every year
