Greaves with a major stop after his own fumble.

Despite the collapse, I think there's a lot to like in this game overall. Not AS BAD of a collapse, first of all. But a lot of crisp passing and good chances. Some budding chemistry I feel. Some systems seem like they are, in fact, systems. Marchenko, Texier looked good. Jenner and Sillinger got on the board and Sillinger looked like a hockey player throughout.

Possibly. I certainly didn’t think he was 240

I think he must have gained a good chunk of that this summer. He was never a good technical skater but he had better energy before. This isn't just adapting to NHL speed, I don't think.

I've only been able to watch this one preseason game, but I'm really glad that Tex still seems positionally responsible just where he left off

Nice to get a win!
Good
-I'm loving Laine's centerman journey, I hope he keeps it up!
-Greaves stayed solid.
-I think we're seeing some chemistry going on, I think there is definitely something to work with here.
Bad
-PK needs to be better, we need to not shut off completely when we do, yeesh.

Onward with camp!

I have a feeling there will be some cuts after todays game. Cleveland barely has enough players to run practices.

PK needs to be better, also there were several 2-on-1s allowed by risky plays in 2nd period alone. I did see only the 2nd period and most of the 3rd, so who knows if the team defence was excellent otherwise. However, the CBJ was unable to clear the D-zone a lot of times.

Blankenburg still seems to be really exciting on the offensive zone and frightening on the defensive zone. I am not sure if he would be better as a F, but he definitely isn't a NHL defenceman with this kind of play, as he is way too often totally clueless on D zone without the puck.

I think after they got up 4-0, they took the foot off a little bit. So far the best they've played, which is how it should be. Maybe some fatigue setting in on guys who haven't played much, to be expected. Greaves does look like he has potential.

Meyer is not waiver exempt. So no fact.
I feel like if Meyer was going to get waived to Cleveland he would have played tonight. I think Meyer will play Wednesday, and go back after. Or he will be in the final cuts to sneak through waivers like last year.
