Last time I checked on NHL.com. It showed EDM 4-3 STL.... Bug???

Now STL is only 1 points behind us. Great news!

Ha. Ha. Ha. No. Oilers scored in OT, but it was called back for offside. NHL.com too quick to call that one!

Oilers went 0-for the shootout. Both McDavid and Draisaitl missed. Crazy, eh?!

Bad for Oilers. Good for us.

BUF, STL, VAN, OTT, NAS, PHI are on the march!

We're only 3 points from bottom 6 in the league. Monahan and Savy being out really makes a difference to our team. Let's hope potential trade partners are taking notice!

FLA sinking, but so are the Flames and wings...still FLA not looking good to make the playoffs. But it's still early...

Still early but every week they put themselves further behind the 8 ball and that's all we can ask for a team that was 1st in the Atlantic last year.

Yup, but if this does keep up a little longer, poor morale, rash/poor executive decision making and general panic sets in deeper. Panthers have a pretty tough schedule ahead for the rest of the month.

On the Habs front, losing to Ottawa and Anaheim are massive, uh, wins. Our next 6 games, only the Arizona one should be an automatic win. We can easily go 1-5.

Still 11th & 13th. Blues didn't pass us last night. They're still a point back. However, Montreal is now only 3 pts out of 6th & 5 pts out of 5th.

If Blues win tonight (Friday), they'll jump us, and we'll finally be in top 10 (10th). One point, they'll tie, but Montreal will be ahead based on gp.

Ideally, we want a Blues win in OT.

The big day is Saturday.

If Montreal loses to TB:

Sens pass us with a win over Detroit
Nashville passes us with a win over Colorado
Vancouver passes us with one point vs Jets

Meaning we could be in 7th by end of night Saturday.

On Saturday, Florida plays NJ, we obviously want a loss there.

Buffalo passes Fla with a win versus Arizona based off gp. Florida can't be passed by any other team, but St Louis, Ottawa, Nashville & Vancouver will be breathing down their necks.

We could hold 7 & 12, by end of day Saturday.

-STL, NSH, OTT will most probably jump ahead of us sooner or later, not stressing about those

-We are in a group of 5 with VAN, PHI, SJS and ARI, needs monitoring

-3 bottom teams CBJ, ANA, CHI, not sure we have what it takes to go after those, the suck level is just too high, but who knows? we proved we can at times give masterclasses

FLA, a joker card

Depends 90% on Suzuki being healthy.

Too bad there is not a RD stud in that top 5. Imagine getting a Bedard and Markar type with 1 and 3. Plan the parade for 26/27

Our D might be nearly complete without us knowing it. If Lane Hutson can keep developing and Mailloux/Barron can be ok, we might be there already.

SJ and ARI seem really bad to me. Not sure we can catch them. Though some have said they are better th h n their record.

We're better than Philly and Columbus with Monahan and Savy. But without, they just may have the edge.

Bedard and Carlsson/Michkov?

Yes please.

Yeah Bedard and Carlsson in this case. Then you use Bedard as an RW.

I mean,

Caufield - Suzuki - Dach
Slaf - Carlsson - Bedard
Rohrer - Beck (?) - Mesar
Roy - Davidson - Jackeye

Guhle - Hutson
Harris - Mailloux
Engstrom - Barron

Bjarnarson (1st from one of these assets this year)
Montembault

Draft some Ds in 2024, maybe a C. I'm guessing the best move with all the others assets will be to get a C in his prime to replace Dvorak/Monahan, and we'll have the assets for a very good one.
We already have options with Kidney, Farrell etc.

Dach-Suzuki-Caufield
Slafkovsky-Carlsson-Bedard
Farrell-Beck-Dubois

:thumbu:

If we Draft Carlsson and Bedard, you have to go for a center so that Beck is your 4th AND if Dubois bites, but that's a nice to have.

Caufield - Suzuki - Dach
Slaf - Carlsson - Bedard
Dubois - Couturier - Mesar
Rohrer - Beck - Jackeye

Roy - Kidney - Farrell (it's been a LONG time since our 5th line could be this good)
