Sure you can lose any 3 game series during 162 but this would be very, very bad and exactly why this team should not be taken seriously. They do this too often against bad teams. I mean this isn't just a bad team. This is a historically bad A's team.
I am at the point where all I want them to do is finish ahead of the Yankees.

Ya I'm not falling for it again. This was part of a stretch where they absolutely needed to take advantage of this series against the A's. The W/L record is smoke and mirrors really. It should represent a tough spot for Chaim to be in though. Most times I would say just to sell what you can off this team. But he would need supreme confidence in his job security to do that. His best course of action still might be to be a buyer even if at a low level and hope this team hanging around the 3rd WC is enough for John Henry to bring him back.
But let's be honest this is simply what a mediocre team does. They will turn around and win the next series against a good team or whatever it is. In the end it's just a terribly mediocre club.
