Patriots are painfully close to the 2nd overall pick..

Current tiebreaks have them trailing Washington by a single game in "aggregate standings"

Washington: 113-111 (0.504)
New England: 114-110 (0.509)
Arizona:: 124-100 (0.554)

A Patriots loss and a Washington win (vs. Dallas) would likely secure the 2nd overall pick. If both teams lose (likely since Dallas is playing for home field) then it will come down to how the rest of the league does.

Games that matter for the tiebreak:
- A Houston win vs. Indy helps the Pats (+1 loss)
- A Denver win vs. the Raiders helps the Pats. (+1 loss)
- A Baltimore win vs Pittsburgh helps the Pats (+1 loss)
- A Chicago win vs. Green Bay helps the Pats (+1 win for Washington)

- Atlanta vs New Orleans may determine it. A win by Atlanta would be(+1 loss for the Pats and +1 win for Washington (or the reverse if New Orleans wins).

I'm so torn the Pats play the Jets and damnit I always want to beat the Jets.

Looks like the Miami/Buffalo winner is #2 seed and loser drops to #6 and goes to Kansas City? Massive game.

Bill O'Brien was right. He should go learn how to run some routes before they ask him to at the combine
He's not going to come out this year. He'll stay. He's only a sophomore. He has a lot to learn, but the talent is there. Their offensive coordinator sucks too. He's gonna be a good one. One to watch out for.

He’s starting to look like he won’t be there for pick 34/35
I agree, some team with a not great qb situation will see that arm talent and trade up just to get the extra year or have him fall into their lap like Mac when the Patriots picked him. I did think that about Levis though who was the same age Penix will be when he enters the league, a cannon for an arm and doesn't have the 2 acl tears Penix has had and he went early in the 2nd.

The excitement at the end was great, but I'm not sure I quite get the logic of Texas essentially getting an extra timeout because of the Washington RB getting injured. Seems like the play clock should restart at the ready for play signal. Though it did reaffirm Washington's end of game mismanagement.

There is a 10 second run-off, but Texas declined it. If the Huskies were trailing Texas would have accepted the run-off and 10 seconds would come of the game clock, but the clock still wouldn't have started until the snap
