When all is said and done I don't think Daniels will be there in 2nd round.

So then get someone who will be aggressive enough to trade Bill since he will still be under contract, I would imagine, for a first round pick or enough assets to get a second first later and draft Daniels. The Patriots need a mentality change where they don't lay back and actually start making aggressive plays for talent like Marvin Harrison Jr and Jayden Daniels.

Possible but a coach would have to ok a trade. So would Bill want his new team giving up a first round pick to secure him? That makes his job a little tougher.

Daniels most likely going in top 15. Some mocks have him in top 10.

Comparing Maye to Trubisky is lazy. Maye is bigger, with a better arm and more athletic than Trubisky. Herbert is the guy i see Maye compared to a lot but i think he's a more polished version of Josh Allen when he came out of college.

Daniels will go top 10, the media are always catching up to the teams and even the media aren't predicting him to go in the 2nd round anymore. He's a good qb, Maye is just the better prospect.

He may not have a say in the matter.

Maybe the Patriots will still pull a Belichick and trade back to get Daniels if that's the case.

Don't forget the inexperience. Trubisky only had 1 year as a starter.

Nope. He basically had 4 years as a starter with Chicago. I was here, and as a Packer fan, I enjoyed every minute of it......

He got the job 4 weeks into his rookie season (2017) and got benched mid way through his 4th season (2020).....Basically 3 full seasons if you wanna split hairs.

Bowls won't survive the year so wonder if The Tampa Bill Buccaneers is a possibility
I'd make a wager that Bill ends up with the LA Chargers once that shithead Staley gets fired....

I don't think its a smart move for the Chargers, but the Spanos family has never been smart to begin with. That's why I think it'll happen.

Aren't they known for being cheap though? Probably why they have hung on to Staley this long.

If we do not have a top 3 pick and get one of Harrison Jr/Maye or Williams, I have no issues trading down and grabbing Michael Penix Jr. I think he will turn out to be a better pro vs Daniels. Penix has arguably the fastest release in College Football, which helps him to avoid sacks. His accuracy is deadly and arm strength above average. He is also playing in the Pac 12 now which is a better conference vs Daniels who plays in the SEC. The only issue/risk I see with Penix is his track record of getting hurt / can stay healthy in the NFL?

tampa has a better D though and will be out of cap jail. Tampa ownership would work with bill too since it worked well with Tom

Would Mike Williams be a worth taking a flyer on next year? Not sure what the financials of it are but he’s had some great moments when healthy, if he’s relatively cheap why not see what he’s got left.
