Chaim bloom is a joke who is good for nothing but combing the waiver wire for awful players and trading for b prospects and worse. He might be a worse general manager than the dumb racist, Pinky Higgins.

Nice blast from the past.

Pinky did trade SS Don Buddin for Eddie Bressoud. Great move. Buddin's nickname was E-6.

That's a terrifying ERA.

Comical is you leaving out the last place finish last year.

This teams expectation was either winning the division and or first in the WC to make a deep playoff run every season. Now it is Loyd Christmas, "So you're telling me there's a chance"
Last place last year, last place this year = clearly building a winner from the ground up

It’s definitely ugly but the FIP is a bit lower. I don’t know his arsenal but he’s 6’4”, 220 lbs. so I’m assuming he can bring it a bit. Doesn’t hurt to take a chance on a BP arm. He’s minor leagues anyways.

FIP aims to measure what a pitcher's ERA should look like if he were to experience league average results on balls in play.

I can’t help if you’re disingenuous about the “last place” nonsense. They’re not picking at the top of the draft. So clearly they’re not really in last place.

If it makes you feel better Bernardino had a 12.00 ERA in AAA when Seattle tried to slip him through waivers. With a lot of these guys at the bottom of the 40 man they get them in the lab, throw shit at the wall, and hope something sticks. Has worked with Bernardino and Schreiber. A lot of the time it won’t work. But might as well try if you have the space to do it

They really like getting those awkward arm slot guys in particular. This guy seems more conventional

Worcester also has had a god awful bullpen all year so they may even just be trying to add some help for that level without thinking much more of this guy

I was actually alluding to his ERA in the biblical sense.

Franchy owns you Alek! At least he’s in AAA

I really needed that extra boost today. Him getting lit up by high school aged kids who just came to America for the first time is just a wonderful thing.

I don’t think Joely is better than Bernardino or Murphy, I’d probably just DFA him. Might not even be better than Jacques. Bleier and Jacques are basically the same pitcher so if they want to swap one out with the other I don’t mind

We’ve really missed Schreiber
