Hell baby
They started in the first with the 1-2-3 DP and then continued that momentum from there

This will be the most frustrating loss of the year. Defense cost them, awful performance from Casas today. Was unlucky yesterday with 4 hard hit balls in 4 AB’s but today was an abomination of a game from him on both sides of the ball. Kikè has the yips at SS, so many throwing errors. Cora manages like a f***ing idiot. The umpire sucks. Seabold throwing 96. Nolan Jones robbing a homer. Very frustrating after the win yesterday.

Cora not challenging there is so f***ing dumb it’s crazy. He is really bad in-game.
I am curious if the Sox would ever pull the plug on Cora. Not that I think it's his fault but it's Chaim's last play.

every game we lose because of Kikè’s defense is on Cora. It’s the definition of insanity to keep playing him as an everyday SS

Read elsewhere that he should only be playing SS on an emergency basis and I agree.

He’s a good CF and can handle 2B. He isn’t an everyday SS. We’ve seen enough. 14 errors is horrendous.

He’s a dope. I’m out on Cora. Show him the door to try and spark the team.
I don't think sparking the team is actually a thing. Maybe a very short term bump but the team is just not very good regardless of who the manager is. It is amusing, however, seeing you calling for someone to be fired. I thought you were a fan???

Perhaps this is Cora's message to Bloom. You gave me this hand this is what you're gonna get.

Is there such a stat as an expected win rate in baseball? Just curious. Looking at run differential I see the Sox are at -1. That puts them at 16th out of 30 teams. Record is 33-34. These numbers all tell us this team is simply the definition of mediocre. A different manager maybe has them at 35-32. Maybe. Anyone wanting to blame Cora while at the same time absolving Bloom is whistling past the graveyard.

Oh and by the way, I checked a few sites for team payrolls. Remember the people crying about how the Red Sox are not cheap? Well every site I check has them at 13th-15th in payroll. When should the Boston Red Sox ever be that low in payroll?

A big comedown from beating the Yankees 2 out of 3 in the Stadium to a rainy night at Fenway against the lowly Rockies with Seabold on the mound.

Game was probably lost when Devers tapped into the DP in the first inning.

Devers, Duvall, Casas go 0-11 in the heart of the order.

Turner's starting to look like the guy we hoped for.

Paxton was outstanding, for all the good it did.

Imagine being one of the people who sat through the 10th inning rain delay only to have them lose

Pythag.

What is pythagorean winning percentage?
Pythagorean winning percentage is an estimate of a team's winning percentage given their runs scored and runs allowed. Developed by Bill James, it can tell you when teams were a bit lucky or unlucky. It is calculated by

(Runs Scored)^1.83
---------------------------------------------------------
(Runs Scored)^1.83 + (Runs Allowed)^1.83

The traditional formula uses an exponent of two, but this has proven to be a little more accurate.

Most teams have some variation by 2 or 3 games either way, someeven more than that. But the Sox are exactly where their pythag has them, 33-34.

I truly can't understand how any Red Sox fan is committing their time to watching this disgraceful product. Genuinely offensive from the brass down to the players on the field.
