So for right now, we're at:
Sale
Kluber
Whitlock
Bello
Pivetta
Houck
Winckowski
Crawford
Bleier
Schreiber
Brasier
Ort
Jansen
Paxton due back
Rodriguez due back
Martin = 15 Day IL
Mills = 60 Day IL
Not expecting to see Mills anytime soon, if at all. Was just moved to the 60 day, with elbow inflammation. TJS?
Assuming no injuries (lol, i know, i know), 3 potential guys need to come out.
Ort
Brasier
Easiest choices
Then I'd say the next easiest is Bleier but as I said in a previous post, can't see them burning him or any of the LHP depth in Worcester until Joely is ready. Can't have an all-righty BP.
A healthy pitching staff:
Sale (L)
Kluber (R)
Whitlock (R)
Bello (R)
Paxton (L) / Pivetta (R) -- One moves to the pen?
Houck (R)
Crawford (R)
Rodriguez (L)
Winckowski (R)
Schreiber (R)
Martin (R)
Jansen (R)
After Ort, Bleier is definitely the weak link here. But as you say, you need a leftie there so dumping him is a difficult proposition since Joely's not back until probably late May.
Brasier won't go away. But to be fair he's actually not been so bad. If you take away his opening day disaster (which if you're generous you can write off to the 40 degree weather), he's got a 2.84 ERA and has held opponents scoreless in 7 of his last 8 appearances.
Yoshida stinks and Casas is hitting .137
Three competent hitters in the lineup
Maybe Yoshida can help land us Ohtani (no chance Henry does that) but the pundits look like they were right to question Yoshida signing. I don't think the size of the ball is the issue.

I like Yoshida and don't really care if it takes him an entire season to adjust but it's pretty apparent they overpaid.I can't think of a player I'm willing to be patient with more than a guy moving down from the best league in the world.
Dumb light show detracts from every walk off.
