Before the season I figured the Yanks would be a high 90s win team, the Jays had a good chance to slug their way to the division, the Orioles were on the way up, and that the Rays might take a step back.
Which is basically the same equivalent of thinking the Leafs would take the Atlantic, Tampa and Florida would solidly be in the playoffs, and the Sens and Sabres were ready to break out so the Bruins would be borderline WC at best.
Rhe Rays' RD so far is looking Bruinsish. But they're still in the "hot start" window, which could turn into "they're not going away any time soon" in another 2 weeks, which could turn into "historic pace" in 4 weeks after that. Too early to tell, but you can't start better than that.
