Devante Parker does have a 1,200 yd, 9 TD season on his resume....
What makes it so difficult to truly grade out this skill position is they don't have a premier talent to offset a middling QB. If you had a true #1 target maybe the rest of these guys would have a little more space out there and fall into place. Parker is probably fine as a supplemental piece but not when all you have is supplemental pieces.

You could give Mac Randy Moss and it would make him Oakland Raider Randy Moss. No matter what mid QB is mid

I agree with your point, but Parker is far from fine under any circumstances. He is soft, slow, lacks the ability to separate, and takes forever to recover from injuries.

I wasn't trying to defend him really as I don't think he's that good. But I would just be curious to see what it might look like if he was a definitive #3 option on this team. But ya I don't think he offers a lot. Even on contested catches he doesn't even fight for the ball like you would want.

That and the injury problems are what I mean when I say soft.

The #’s for the offensive line this week are coming out and they aren’t pretty
There were people scolding others in here to "let's see how it looks" in regard to the OL. Sometimes you don't have to wait. Everyone knew it would be a problem and it is.

and yet they had a superbowl team and Miami on the ropes a few weeks ago with a QB getting worse by week.

I don't know about on the ropes but in the end most NFL games are close. Hell, Zach Wilson and the Jets almost beat the Chiefs. In the end good teams usually win and bad teams usually lose.

all about the QB.which is why the Jets become irrelevant once rodgers went down.

I don't want to hear any excuses for Bill. My fear now is the Krafts will use the Gonzalez/Judon injuries to explain away the team sucking even though the rest of the roster is a disaster. It's time for the Krafts to wake the f up. They allowed Tom Brady to get out the door. And now they are force feeding us this washed up has been of a coach/executive. The message for ownership should be:

No days off

and

Do your job

You understand it's a good-for-business decision. Ancient Robert already has all time greatest player for his Patriots brand and now wants greatest winning coach added alongside even if it takes four more years.

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Give Mac a #1 WR and see what he does. I bet he'd do well. Only QB in the league without a legit #1.

Offensive line was a problem last year. It was not addressed this year. And look? Its still a problem.

You know who that's on? Bill Belichick.

I think the week to week new excuses are getting ridiculous and constant grandstanding from last place. No #1 is going to help bad decision making on Macs part.

There are at least a handful of teams without a legit #1. Juju was 24th last year in receiving yards and that even takes into account rb's and te's. You may not like it, but by definition, that makes him a legit #1 and means there were about 10 teams worse off. And as I said before, devante parker has a 1200 yd 9 td season on his resume. Those two with the right qb are FAR from the worst wr corp in the lleague.

Houston?

John Metchie
Robert Woods
Nico Collins
Tank Dell.

Better than what we have.

Juju is not a #1 WR and neither is Devante.

Other than Sunday's game, Mac was been pretty decent. You get growing pains with young QBs. Happened with Tua. Happened with Hurts. Happened with Lawrence and it happened with Josh Allen.

And what did these organizations do to help these QB's

Oh, that's right. Surround them with talent.

You can't have it both ways. If nobody on the pats is a #1 wr, then half the league doesn't have a #1 wr because statistically juju was better than anyone on many teams including all of those guys in Houston last year...only 20 teams had a wr go over 1,000 yds. Juju had 933.
