Yup they didn’t waste money on second tier guys like in the past

Without Magic they are 5th maybe grab 4th

if they were gifted Ohtani & Yamamoto they probably don’t win division

They don’t suck and have a bunch of interesting young players but being 500 would be good

If I was running the ticket office I know Toronto & Yanks will sell out

Summer weekend games

Should get interest for a handful of others

And early week night I’m putting together packages, give aways - honor the 2004 guys

Mets gotta be favored
You know their business plan well. They have been doing it for awhile

Who knows any more?

What great reporting :eyeroll:

Verdugo replacement?
I guess?

I'm honestly not a big fan. He was tremendous in 2021... but he's been pretty bad the past two years.

At his best, he's a Gold Glove caliber outfielder with 30+ HR potential. He hasn't been anywhere near his best lately.

Depending on what they gave up... I think I would have rather re-signed Adam Duvall.

If we can just get him back on whatever he was taking in 2021...
He's had a ton of lower body issues of the past 2 years and has never been able to string a long run of games together. If the guy is healthy, he's a gold-glove candidate with enough power to give you 30+HRs. Especially in Fenway. He's comparable to Hunter Renfroe, but better defensively.

Cardinals kind of soured on him last year, due to the belief that his workout regimen was causing some of his lower body/back issues. Not sure if that's valid or not. Cards' Manager Oliver Marmol threw him under the bus to the media last year too. Accused him of lack of hustle for not scoring from second on a single. Personally, I thought that was chickenshit on Marmol's part.....

vERY CHEAP OWNERSHIP. Need new ones.
Don't hold your breath on that...
